It's default, it's Y to select elites, double tap Y to select veteran and triple tap Y to select normals. This is all of those particular's on screen at the time.

Disabling enemy tech is one thing, but damn, not even letting the production buildings be used is kind of dumb and pointless, its literally just artificially inflating difficulty for the sake of it lmao

Units not being produced from production structures is probably a side effect of the fact the tech is removed. I believe the buildings are actually disabled, so they don't actually operate they are just there to be there as buildings for the base. Cause i'm pretty sure majoirty of scripts comes from off map. Whether it's being paradropped in, tanks and planes alike or just scripted from off map and come onto map via waypoints.

Toggle windowed mode, or if you want windowed mode, then right click gamemd.exe and go to properties and compatibility and put on reduced colour mode for 16-bit.
