That could be an interesting tactic if you happen to have Yuri and allied.... Throw some chaos drones into a couple of bfs and run them into the enemy tanks, then deploy them once the bfs die

I guess I liked you started with the best one which is the V3 flip. Really did not expect that, don't think anyone did. The blowing up bridges with units on them is common knowledge (in any C&C game infect). The repair bridge though... really hard to do since you have to time the engineer right and to even have a ship to destroy. Anyway, loved your vids!! Always something new everyday.

Build a shit ton of turrets around your base and when enemy uses Iron Curtain just use force field on those turrets so enemy can't get past the turrets.

I didnt know units could entirely flip over and I've spent more hours in this game than i would like to admit. My guess is that this was planned to play a bigger role in gameplay, but it was dropped and they didnt remove it since its basically impossible to flip over a unit in a normal scenario.

That Chernobyl tactic is really useful in YR Soviet Mission 4, when you consider blowing up garrisoned buildings with Demolition Trucks. Repairing damaged bridges destroys Iron Curtained battleships? Now that's something new and odd. Ah yes, Terror Drones that are infecting vehicles get destroyed when those vehicles get repaired at a Service Depot (or Tech Repair Facility) or by a Repair (Engineer) IFV. Turns out, they get destroyed even with Iron Curtain protection on. Nice and creative captions about ways on overriding Iron Curtain protection to destroy units! "Head or tails?" "Let the Sea... set you free!" "Warning! Kg Limit!" IRON CURTAIN NOOB AT THE END 😂🤣

oh ok so thats what happens if u repair the bridge, apparently in vanilla red alert 2, if you repair the bridge while a ship is in the way, it wont destroy the ship and the ship will now be on top of the bridge, so you can guard your important bridges with dreadnaught and aircraft carriers (dont know why one might want to do that but its possible) it seems like they patched it in yuris revenge

Thanks to this video, I learned that: 1. Physics do not care about the Iron Curtain; 2. To be in the middle of the destroyed bridge before its repair = to jump on the Jedi sword. Even if you are invulnerable.

Option #1 is very useful in original RA2 campaign, Allies last mission. When enemy charges Apocalypse or Rhino tanks under IC (Iron Curtain) on my base, i simply teleport them in the water. But this trick barely works with Spider-drones - cause you must have perfect reaction and skills to teleport them away. BTW, your #10 option was very hillarious. Keep it up, TG!

I remember using an Iron Curtained MAD Tank in Red Alert 1: Aftermath. When I deployed it, it just keeps pounding it's slammer and won't (can't) use it's suicide attack until the invincibilitt effect wore off. By that time it had ran out it was already surrounded by the enemy and was destroyed before it could go off.

For those of you wondering what happens when a Chaos Drone is inside a Battle Fortress, the Battle Fortress doesn't get the chaos effect of the Chaos Drone. It only attacks like there is no unit inside of it. The same thing applies with Terror Drones.

You may have repaired bridges before and it not kill them. Only low bridges kill naval units, and in vanilla unpatched RA2 low bridges didn't even kill units either.

I'm not entirely sure how tilting/flipping works, but I do know that: 1. A vehicle's weight value is taken into consideration (this is also taken into consideration for ships whether they sink or explode when destroyed.) 2. The attacking Warhead has to have Rocker=yes. There is also a "DirectRocker" field warheads can have, but it seems to not be fully implemented and is buggy according to ModENC. A DirectRocker warhead is suppose to focus exclusively on flipping vehicles over instead of damaging them. 3. The damage value of the warhead contributes to how much the vehicle will tilt. in Tiberian Sun, a vehicle's weight was also checked against IceCrackingWeight and IceBreakingWeight, which could also be triggered by SHP vehicles, not just Voxel vehicles. IIRC in RA2 the ice mechanic no longer works. In TS/RA2, SHP vehicles cannot tilt or be flipped. You would think Weight may also interact with Magnetrons in some way, but it does not.

if you put an ICed tank in a transport, wait for the IC to run out and the empty the transport, will the tank still be ICed? might be an interesting way get an army of ICed tanks all at once. especially if you chrono all those transports into an enemy base. 9 transports holding i think 3 tanks each, could have 27 IC tanks all at once

There is a simple reason why these all work: The Iron Curtain only prevents protected units from taking *damage*. It does not prevent them from being destroyed. What you see in this video is a variety of ways in which you can trigger special cases that directly call the game's "destroy this unit" function, without dealing damage. Because they don't deal damage, don't check for conditions like Iron Curtain, and destroy the unit instantly, Iron Curtain can't protect them. For what it's worth, in most cases, these interactions are necessary to keep the game functioning properly. If aircraft aren't destroyed when their airfield gets sold, for instance, you get an instant crash to desktop. If tanks don't sink when they are dropped in water (in the case of a bridge blowing up), they are stuck and can't move. If those ships aren't destroyed when the bridge is repaired, they are stuck there and can't move, and nothing can cross the bridge, etc.
