You seem to forget that Vladimir had no problem to use Yuri technology before Yuri started to take over. Yuri clones are normal, even player uses them AFTER dealing with Yuri. Psychic Beacon to control americans (that is destroyed on start) also belongs to Vladimir. I see no problem here.

This one is quite fun. In fact i managed to complete it using only GI's which is whacky. 1:30 While it's true, majority of attacks will be intercepted by Purple outpost behind the bridge, which is why i keep them alive as long as i can 2:32 Ooooooh, that makes sense, you didnt realize that you're playing Allied perspective of Desecration mission. Also, Killing Vladimir is the worst possible thing to do - Purple AI will become Red, and now will join forces to fight you. What makes it annoying is the fact that now with 2 ConYards they will continiously repair each other outposts - Remember that Red Main base? It will be rebuilt as long as one of ConYards is up and running. In other words, it spikes up the difficulty of this mission. This actually gives me an idea... :D

The rebuilding sentry gun out of the build range is a thing seen only in Campaign missions. It's preplaced structure positions that the given AI rebuilds. I had to use it for my own mission design and it's quite fun to work with actually. Makes NPCs have a solid and specific base structure.

18:54 reminder that AIs aren't bound to the same rules as human players, except for the TechLevel, power and money rules; those are never broken, though the money rule is always bent since AIs tend to start with much more cash and get more cash per harvester load than human players. No idea if AIs get more from Oil Derricks than humans, since both the Oil Derrick's ProduceCash logic and the AIVirtualPurifiers logic were introduced in RA2. And that's just in regular skirmish. For missions you can give the AI a far greater amount of cash than anyone can mine in a reasonable time-frame.

Maybe they should have made the Ai ally with each other when you destroy the first base because russia is too focused on vladimir and it almost feels like you're just a spectator in this mission. or maybe just make either AI more powerful or something. either way very good video

This mission went differently for you than in my playthrough; when I played in, about 4-5 months ago, after eliminating the smaller purple base in the bottom, Red A.I. targetted my troops and left the larger purple base relatively untouched.

I always found it ironically funny that Vladimer who feared Yuri and was aware of what he was doing, used Yuri's own Purple Faction color. Also Much later on tgSacred you have to check out the bonus missions, there is one where you actually play Vladimer's faction for this mission. Way way way harder than this one, but its kinda neat to see a situation where he wins.

In my playthrough I just waited to see what the AI would do to eachother, and then every single apocalypse tank that red spawned targeted my harriers which they couldn't attack. After a while there were a bunch of apocalypse tanks just going back and forth and I sent my harriers to die, after which the red completely crushed the purple AI with a flood of apocalypse tanks.

I think the mission can be improved. It can be a big duel, both having many war factories, yards, and large forces. The player does as a balancing power, using minimal sources to win the mission.

It's a feature from the original RA1: when planes are destroyed, the pilot parachutes out. The feature was rendered non-functional in RA2, perhaps even TibSun. Ares gets it working again.

Iirc I did this one by mopping up red, then I sniped Vladimir with harriers.. releasing all of purple to red.. who then insta sold and bullrushed. Seems the moment you trigger that from the AI it will do so again even if given an entirely new base.

I the Original mission its there to show Washington is under Vladimer's control over the americans. If it is destoryed, any GI's and Grizzly tanks on the map of the mission are reverted to there own faction. Its a minor detail but its nice.

It does to some degree. Vladimir was deemed traitor AFTER Yuri took control of Premier, while Washington D.C was in control of Vladimir for some time now. Psychic Beacon did not turn against Vladimir too, right? Since in OG, destroying it, makes all GIs change team and run away from the battlefield. Vladimir aslo did not mind, mind controlling allied forces, no?

the mod called notepad.exe, which can be used to edit a couple of ini files in the RA2 directory. RA2 handles increased resolutions surprisingly well, though the non-repeating parts of the UI, like the backgrounds in menus, look weird.
