Wouldn't be a big reveal for you tho, because in erasing your workplace's existence from time also deletes your memory of the place. In fact, it rewrites every day since you even heard of the place, or even since it existed. You never went for a job interview there in the first place, in the same way I never went to Doof's Drusselsteinian Buffet. You can't go to a place that (RA2 quote) *never existed*. You simply walk right past where it "used to be" on your way to your real job, look at the empty parkland as you walk by, and wonder if the city is ever going to build something in that place. You walk down the sidewalks that run right through the empty land, never knowing that people's incomes, hopes and dreams of building and supporting their familes, dreams that you wish could come true for you, rested on a non-existent company and building that once stood where you stand now. You stare at a taco food vendor in that park, and suddenly memories of your old job rush back to you. There was a building, right here! You met your true love, right there, in your law firm's cafeteria. She loved tacos, too! She talked every day about how her favorite thing to do was to go home after a long day in the office, have a glass of champagne, and read a good book. You remember the day she realized that you were the bright spot in her day, one of the reasons she was able to get up in the morning and go to work. You remember that she was your motivation too. You remember the first day you told her-- And then the hand of the Chronolegionare flicks a switch, and a pulse of energy moves through the neurons in your brain, erasing those memories from existence. You never remembered anything. You never worked there. You never met her. You're on your way to work. You're gonna be late if you're not careful. You walk right past that taco truck, and hail a cab.

The outro really does make you wonder what exactly are the actors in the cutscenes thinking? The main cast (Tanya, Eva, Romanov, Yuri etc.) are probably used to this by now, but imagine the fillers - "My role is to look at a piece of paper and listen to a guy talking about cloning world leaders" or "I have to sit in a room and watch a guy and some other guy on a screen discuss worldwide mind control and exchange insults" Yet again, a simple and uneventful mission. Yuri can be annoying with his endless Initiates, but posses no real threat. At least we'll finally see some action next time.

I always love capturing the MCV of the enemy in RA2 campaign missions. they make the gameplay much more interesting and enjoyable to play. combining units and base structures togheter. for example Yuri's bunkers with Apocalypse tanks in them. or Battle Fortress with Tesla Troopers or Snipers. and of course the neutral tech structures like the hospital or machine shop. they not only repair or heal your units but you can also expand your base and protect them with defense structures. I love the tech structures in this game. a very useful feature added by Westwood Studios.

This mission takes place during the Emu war , which Yuri's forces are distracted and not in the area. It was said the Emu army forced Yuri's troops to suffer heavy losses with minimal causalities and later signed a peace treaty with the Allies.

Infantry always, or will always TRY to de-garrison a structure from the most South corner. Placing your Rocketeers there will more easily clear out the Infantry that exit the buildings.

A tip from us Blackguards... 1. If those nasty paradrop are loosen from the AA, put Seal units. Special greetings came from below. 2. Capture and defend that coast Yuri base? Yep! Let them eat their own medicine again! 3. Make sure watch out for chaos drone or Yuri Clones. Those thing annoyingly infuriating. Some smol fun: use yuri faction units to destroy Yuri's base. Or replace garrisoned GI in buildings with initiates. Worked like a charm

Another strategy is to use the civilian buildings as defensive parameter, Yuri’s forces comes from a set path, and with those garrisoned structures they won’t even reach the HQ, Use Rocketeers to flush out the initiates and repair the buildings with your engineers before garrisoning them with GI, also Yuri wont rebuild his Shipyard, since he doesn’t have anti air ship, it should fall quickly to rocketeers

important thing to remember when playing allies in pretend be big city maps like this with high tech... your chrono soldiers can remove civilian buildings without leaving rubble ,so you can shift your base layout without being restricted where to build by any rubble if such as if wanting to rebuild around a hospital or machineshop instead ;) this reminds what a shame it was EA forced weestwood to waste time on making a plethora of 'jump on trends' stuff rather then getting C&C 3 ready years earlier :( with tactical weapons being more like supcom instead of the ''building charges up magic spell there is no counter for!'' not to mention proper walls , gates watch towers and bunkers to man and other such ''decorative'' stuff..that wierdly enough some people won hole tournaments by indirectly using things as , point and case the dude that played protos in sc2 getting far in a tournament due to keeping wasting resources using a building as 'gate' by constantly halting its construction and then starting it agen....so all the zergs or terran 'ignore deathball rush base' tactics not worked.

I remember planting a navy seal in the water, just a lil left of the land outcrop north of the base the boomers tried their best to kill the seal, but their torpedoes keep hitting the island, so I could spend as much time garrisoning all the buildings before the next phase when Yuri begins garrisoning too.

Coming from C&C: General. I really wish I could train my Toxin Tractor in this mission. Clearing the garrisoned building in this game is very painful.

Why bother? Just chrono some prism/mirage tanks into Yuri's bases and level them. When the bases surrender, the garrisoned Initiates will leave the the buildings peacefully. I also usually clear just enough to capture the hospital, the workshop, and the airport by sending engineers with a helicopter. But you probably don't have to.

Notably, this is the only mission in RA2/YR to feature the Black Eagle as a controllable unit but the tip of playing this mission means that the player shall not destroy Yuri's Submarine Pen so that the Korea-only replacement to the Harrier would appear later.

one weird trivia for this mission : even if you put and deploy Desolators in every part of the city to deal with those garrisoned Initiates, it would still be instantly garrisoned after those Black Eagles destroy the Submarine Pens
