Also may I say liked the intro on how the RAF display teams came together as T3 and T4 years ago trained new pilots before moving onto combat aircraft at the time.

Great kit and another excellent finish. Must also in the spring check out the model shop in Halifax which I believe is very good. The red spray seemed to go kn quite well indeed thanks again now.

That came out really well, nice little model. The paint colour is always a challenge, Hannants do their own Red Arrows Red and Testors do Blue Angels Blue, other than those I just go for what looks nice, the Humbrol 14 looks great👍

Hannants no longer do their red Arrows red.. Was just messing around on their website a few weeks ago and when you go looking for it it comes up "no match found"... They also used to do blue angles blue, blue angles yellow, blue angles F-18 yellow, frecce tricolori blue and on the civilian side they did Aer lingus green.... I have a tin of their 3 blue angles colours and a tin of the Frecce Tricolori blue.

@@Kickback-dm7zt Just looking now and they've got 30+ of Extracolour Red arrows red X014 and acrylic also, must've re-stocked. Annoying it costs so much to ship to New Zealand😒 I used a can of spray kote red I got from the local cheap warehouse store on a Red Arrows Gnat that looked pretty good and didn't melt the plastic😁

I'm much the same - go for whatever looks nicest! It's why I ignored most records for Frecce Tricolori and Patrouille and think I got good end results! 😁💜

Very nice kit and finish. Really liked the intro. Lovely finish on the spray red on the Aircraft. Many years ago I read a book on how pilots were trained at the time before new RAF pilots moved to Anglesey to fly possible fighter aircraft such as the Harrier or the Land Based Buccaner and they trained extensively on T3 and T4 after piston engine aircraft to gain their wings. Looking forward to the next video. Incidentally I did not see the finish video on the Polish Trainer aircraft. Has that been completed now? Also, must have a trip out to Halifax when the weather picks up to find this model shop and see whats on offer rather than buying on line. Let me know thanks again now.

It is a great kit but I found the red paint awful.. Even after 3 days the paint was sticky to touch.

Yeah I haven't even opened the one that came with it - I generally find Humbrol paint in general a bit hit and miss! 🤣💜

@@MsModeller yep. The Red acrylic that comes with it is only fit for the bin.....as for kits to build you have to do a "Black Arrows" Hunter.

There is footage of an interview of a yellow Jacks /red Arrows pilot and he was asked why were the yellow Jacks repainted red and how they got the name and he said unless its a crystal clear day a yellow aircraft is hard to see where as a red is easier also yellow isn't in the UK flag, we have already had blue for the blue diamonds and we chose "Arrows" as a tribute to the earlier 111 Squadron Black Arrows team.

@@MsModeller another kit you should do (if you can find it as I don't think it's currently in production) is the 1/72 Italeri MB-326 that comes with the decal option for the raaf "Roulettes" display team.

Sooooo Black Arrows Hunter I did - I did both Blue Diamonds and Black Arrows together, I also may or may not have the Roulettes MB-326 😅💜

Beware of cheapo red rattle can sprays for RAF liveries or the Pelicans: etc., so much pigment these can ruin overall finishes despite great care. Red is the absolute worst. Kind of a random comment but anyway, good luck!

Yeah I noticed a lot of 'thicker' particles come out leading to a hand paint. This happened on 2/3 aircraft which was really weird! 😅💜
