What a great performance! I love the Monte routine variations and this is another killer. Great story and progression. Totally had me fooled-I was expecting something else altogether. This is immediately going into my repertoire!

"He looked at me confused" The operative line for your audience Stoked to find your trove of videos! After watching a few I'm starting to spot when you are showing the same cards on different lifts, but mostly I still just sit agape at your masterful productions and humorous patter. Very enjoyable, super thank you!

Just an extra "thanks". I do not have the dexterity for many card presentations. Your instructions help me keep myself, family, friends, and even strangers in the special realm where anything can, and does, happen. It keeps the kid in all of us alive and well.

I've been practicing the first routine for a couple days, and man the sleight of hand makes you feel so clever when you pull it off. Thanks for posting these videos. They've been a great help with learning card magic over the last few months, and now my 8 year-old wants to start learning too.

As always, you put the magic back into "magic". Thank you, worth millions, and priceless at the same time. (From a 60+ year "amateur" magician.)

I really like the handling you put together for this effect Tom! It’s super clean, extremely easy, and incredibly visual. This is one of my three favorite versions of monte to perform. It blows ppls minds. Anyone who hasn’t tried this on a live audience yet should do so ASAP. They freak the f out👍🏻

4 months later and the monte and Red Black and Blue are part of my every day routine usually now. People love it! The funny part is, 4 months later and I still watch this video a couple times a week to see if there is any way at all I can improve my handling or method. Real glad I found Tom's channel. I generally have a hard time with card tricks but I can pull off packet routines somehow with the help of these videos.

So I started working on the Red, Blue, Black Routine this morn real early. I used double sided Scotch brand tape to make my own double backed gaff cards. I would never perform with them but works ok to practice with at home. I quickly understood the need for genuine double backed cards. All in all mission accomplished in about an hour and 15 minutes give or take. I would like to thank Tom for taking the time out of his day to not only perform this for us but also show us how it's done. I really do appreciate everything you do on your channel! Thanks a million.

Got me some Red/Blue riders today! Much easier to handle than 2 cards with double sided tape (which is ok too).

"Where are all these Jokers coming from?" Pardon me good sir, but this instantly triggered me. It triggered immediate laughter tears. I watched it several times knowing full well what had occurred and do you think this lessens the effect? I say most certainly not. I get my magic thrills from knowing the trick and observing how well the magician performs his or her act(s.) I will then of course attempt the same and my pleasure increases yet again when I see masterful artwork from people such as yourself. I am simply in awe of how well the magician performs- I could not care less about the actual act. It is in the act's presentation where true pleasure comes from. You are a pro. I have a query: my card handling is difficult due to gaps in the meat of my fingers. Can this be closed with flesh colored tape wrapped around my fingers to close said gaps? Or do you have a superior suggestion, sir? (I was also considering specific exercises to increase body fat in needed areas- what do you think? And yes of course I am an instant subscriber. I also adore how you don't waste student's time with over-explaining things and keeping it all so clean and neat and very, VERY professional. My hat is off to you, sir. Well done.

there is a tip for somebody who has struggle with the triple lift . Instead of doing triple lift, u can use your pinky finger to pull the bottom card to get a break on it then u will be easier to show the top 3 cards

When I do the casual double and triple lifts like you they always slide apart once I let go. I've been relying on holding the cards from the top and bottom to prevent this, but it obviously looks more realistic the way you do it, even if my way fools them. Any tips??
@HardHittingBass6 жыл бұрын
Practice. Start with a 3 card monte double lift, apply pressure to a corner, and just lift. You'll screw it up the first few times but you'll notice with practice you get better and better. And by practice I mean putting in the hours and keeping your skills sharp. Then move up to doing double lifts with a four card packet, and so on. Hope this helped a bit.
