@@adriengadson3544 I find it sad more Canadian breakers don't get the spotlight. Like half of Wizard's stuff are bites... Anyway biting is super common now so not much we can do about it. Point is there is a heavy bias towards him. He is very good, especially when he does his best, but to treat him (and even worse Illz) as Canada's best while ignoring the others is a little ridiculous. He is not the only example of that of course, neither is Canada. Just one of them from one country where this issue exists in most or even all countries. It's because of this Red Bull BC One and other large events have gotten lower or more imbalanced standards the more recent we get. Add to that the biased judging that has always existed and got even worse, we get a seemingly half-rigged event with overall lower breaking standards and nonsensical titles.
@adriengadson35442 жыл бұрын
@@SharifSourour The media and other organizations are trying to promote and take over again. This happened in the 80's and can happen again. They try to put on the flashy events and moves and big personalities to fuel the scene. Their are plenty of b boys out that could use some shine , but stuck in the wash. The big names and big events have the strong arm. Unknown b boys need to stay on the grind and battle as much as they can to keep new faces and style coming .Also hopefully it will be better this time around coming to the main stage. As breaking has the Internet and a strong subculture that protects and keeps it going. So the Media just can't try to brand it as something it is not ppl can watch and educate themselves this go around.

@@adriengadson3544 the power moves just like every other element of breaking is extremely important and distinguishing to the medium. I am not seeing what you are reporting. I am not really seeing a bias towards certain moves or styles but instead bias towards certain individuals and crews regardless. That’s what I meant. Also these unknown bboys like myself and those I host are doing exactly what you are saying they should, doesn’t mean all will get through no matter how good because of the aforementioned problem. PS. Guys who have never really tried breaking or acrobatics do not realise how hard those moves to achieve are. It takes years of constant practice. Simple psychological element like being upside down or even above the ground for a second while doing crazy sh*t moves is just insane. So I've been into breaking for quite many years, but never achieved that level. Having that in mind I can honestly appreciate these movements, combos and all the energy, and trust me, what Alvin is doing is just incredibly INSANE. No need for a tie breaker. We can spout all the creativity and movement beats blow ups and power all we want, but that don’t mean anything when you’re not hitting your shit and executing all your rounds. Let’s be honest here as innovative and amazing as wing and Phil are ( incredible by the way). They were not hitting their moves, sets, or beats on the level that we know they can, and it’s ok, everyone has an off day, and in the world class league anyone can beat anybody depending on who has a better day. Anyone who is straight saying Alvin and Tsuki aren’t creative just because their style is dynamic either clearly has a lot of maturing to do in bboying or is stuck in a dated mind set. The fact that they’re some of the only ones who can pull off the combos that they do by default makes it creative. To say what they were doing was just some “ basic flare , air flare , windmill combos is just hating and ignorant. And on top of that hitting so many beats in between, higher energy, better execution. Seriously y’all need to grow up.

Straight up. Good breakdown. Another thing is Bboying is a response to really tough living conditions. We don't just do a cool 2 step. We flip off jungle gyms, skate in swimming pools, dunk basket balls, bomb billboards, scratch records, blast 808 drum sounds and spin on our mother fcking heads.
