I used a Red Foreman line on my son the other day, "Son, you don't have bad luck. The reason bad things happen to you, is because you are a dumbass." He's 14. My Dad found out I said that and about died laughing so hard.

Red foreman is one the funniest characters in television history. When this show was being filmed, the crew must've been dying from the lines. Archie bunker and Red foreman would get along swimmingly.

I can tell you I was an idiot when I was a teen, and I can guarantee you almost everyone is. Our mind is not fully developed until we turn 25. Expecting teenage kids to have good relationships? You're setting yourself up to disappointment. Meanwhile Kitty and Red are mature adults. I would be very concerned if Red and Kitty had the same drama in their relationship as the other kids.

That one moment where instead of his default yelling, Red very calmly talked to Eric about his fuck up and calling him a dumbass for the excuse Eric gave him. You could feel the love and disappointment Red had for his son.

I was just a little kid in the 70s but I remember my older siblings and some of the things the kids do on the show is very similar to what they did. Except smoking weed in the basement. They go in woods and smoke it there. Their own little weed hide out lol
