To "play the innocent" means to behave or act in a way that suggests innocence or lack of knowledge about a situation, typically with the intention of deceiving others. It involves portraying oneself as naive, unsuspecting, or not involved in any wrongdoing, often to avoid blame, responsibility, or suspicion. This behavior may be used as a tactic in various social, professional, or personal situations where someone wants to appear harmless, unaware, or free of guilt, even if they are aware of the circumstances or have some level of involvement. Everyone in here saying it's a clear stamp but to me it looks like she was trying to step/jump over the girl who tackled and on the way over, her foot clipped the leg of the girl which made her foot land sooner and quicker so she didn't trip and fall. It's honestly hard to tell from so far away. If there was obvious aggression prior to this, it might have made the decision for the ref. edit: I've slowed it down and can see that white's right foot is tangled/clipped as she was going to step/hop over. You can see the defender's foot move from the contact if you go frame by frame. That would explain the reflex to stabilize that looks like a stamp. Also, if she had landed on the defender with all her weight, the defender wouldn't have such a mild reaction. That shit REALLY hurts because of the studs

@@10thletter40 definitely not as clear a red card as 90 percent of the comments see it. there is no stomp. if anything besides the initial foul after being too late for the ball, there is a kick of the left foot against the right arm/elbow of the defender. that would be a red card. however if that "kick" was intentional or if she just tried to lift her foot over the stumbling defender, but getting caught by her arm, is up for debate. arguably this would not even be a yellow card. you could give a yellow for the initial foul though. and if the kick is intentional it's a red.

She initially kicked her late after the ball had gone, then kind of ran through her whilst she was on the floor and ended up doing a stumbling, stamping motion. It's minimum a yellow, but if it looked like an intentional stomp to the ref, then I can understand the red. The whole thing was avoidable because she had no need to try to run through the downed opponent in the first place. If the ball is already gone, then I pull out of tackles and try to avoid smashing into opponents late. She could have done the same instead of trying to run through her after the ball had gone.

Excellent officiating.
@zerphyr11633 жыл бұрын
I have read a few rules of soccer and this is not a red card it was a complete accident she went to kick the ball but the blue team person put her leg out to stop the white girl from kicking it. The white person had her knees bent after trying to kick the ball so she cant slow herself down or jump high so she is forced to try and jump over which she did but didn't jump high enough and hit the girl in the shoulder. So in all fairness it should have been a drop ball. Also the white player did not mean to kick the girl because if you slow it down you can see the white players trajectory was on the ball. She should of helped the other player up but after the call she was questioning the ref showing that she doesn't think its a red card. you can also see the girl that got hit in the shoulder or head didn't notice anything odd and didn't go "ref that's a foul" she just stood there.

Ah, so I've watched 4 Premier League videos and so of course I would want to watch this KZbin algorithm. Thank you for your generosity in sending me a completely out of context 12 years old girls football match clip.

Is it possible that the last video you watched in that session had something with a red card in it? That would explain it.

0:08 Seems legit. Unnecessary prolonged contact. Tried to make it look like 'Oopsie!'. Good call.

look at the follow up from the player in white. she tried to stamp on the defender's face.
@rhysjonesmusic222 жыл бұрын
3 bookable offences here - the challenge, the stamp, and the meaty right hook she blatantly throws as blue falls! Obvious red.
@jessefry22668 жыл бұрын
Yes red card! Under the laws of the game and I have dealt with the same decision multiple times as referee! It is counted as violent conduct!

Yes. Clearly intentionally stomped on the player.

Yes, she did not even say sorry. 100% intentional

Idk why when that girl headed the ball in the beginning it made me laugh so hard.

The red card was exactly right. lol @ the end of video goal, looked almost accidental.

This is a really bad call. Foot got stuck, she wanted to jump over her. Never had the intention on hurting her. At most a yellow card

@@crfvp4u Not sure why this ended up in my feed, but I am really confused by all of the outrage. I don't see the "obvious" stomp everyone else sees, and I am not sure how ref did either, as he was way out of position. I have no issue with him giving yellow for the late challenge, and if she had spent the past 10 minutes taking cheap shots at people (I have seen that before!!!) then I get it... but to have so many people look at this clip and think it is an obvious red is baffling to me.

@@KsLazarus completely agree with you. Nowadays, red cards are given out for some ridiculous fouls.
