I love my Orgreenic pans...the green ones of course. I did season them and have had them about 3 years and they honestly still work beautifully. I know it says you don’t need butter or oil but I cook everything in a little butter just to help the non stick and give the food a little flavor.

I was definitely seeing that on both the tomato sauce and the chocolate sauce. The conclusion, you need to use oil to cook on it.

Thank you, Vivian. It's mother's day and my mom asked for the red copper set from my father. Since he has no idea, it's up to me to research it for him and ultimately buy it. I'm watching all of the reviews you've done of red copper vs. whatever and it's really helping. Just wanted to say THANK YOU for taking so much time to produce these videos. You're really helping some of us clueless guys out. :)

*To anyone wondering what’s Seasoning a Pan Mean* ? To season a frying pan means to treat it with oil so as to create a non-stick coating. This is usually done to cast iron pans. *The oil fills any microscopic holes in the metal and then dries like a shellac, sealing the surface* . To season a pan, preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Preheat the pan on the stove top. When warm, coat the inside surfaces of the pan with vegetable oil or lard. Preferably vegetable oil for its higher smoke point, although some people claim that it leaves a sticky finish. Continue to heat just until you see ripples appear on the surface of the oil. At this point, pour off any excess oil, give it a quick wipe with a *folded paper towel held in a pair of kitchen tongs* , and then put the pan into the oven for 45 to 60 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and allow it to cool to room temperature. *Seasoned pans should not be washed in the dishwasher or scoured with abrasive cleaners or pads, as this will remove the coating* . Wash in warm water with a small amount of dish soap and *dry immediately* ! [This is information taking from KitchenSavy(.)com] Hope it helps clarify things for everyone asking

Yep, I have both pans and the results are exactly the same in each. The pans are thin, so if you turn the heat up too high things will get stuck easily (on both). You need way less heat than a ordinary pan to cook things and even then food sometimes sticks.

Lisanne Bond - Naughty Nails...... Your right about the heat, after cooking for many years now, there is no reason to ever have to cook anything in a fry pan higher than medium heat, I never have. As far as a hot plate, imagine how well it will work on a good quality hot plate or range top. I have the 10" and 12" Red Copper Pans, never burned anything or had anything stick to them, wipe them out with paper towel everytime.

I use cast iron, I'll never use anything else. I absolutely love it, it's non stick, holds heat, is oven safe, you can't get a normal oven hot enough to damage it. All the "non stick" stuff is all coated with chemecals and arent good to ingest. Cast iron provides a little extra iron in your diet, as well as better tasting and cleaner eating. But I still love your videos :)

NO "All" these nonstick pans Aren't coated with chemicals. This isn't the 90s, They don't use Teflon in these gimmick pans. Cast Iron is great, just not for everything, just as Non-stick isn't good for everything. Ideally you should have one CI, one NS, and a set of Stainless Steel.

Ceramic frying pans do work VERY WELL, only not the ones from the TV brands or similar... The first (and ONLY) ceramic pan I've bought was an 8" (it'll fit ~ 4-5 eggs into it) GRAY one from Marshall's (most probably sold originally at another store for more) for ~ $15. The pan is ~ 2x as thick as the ones from TV brands I've seen in the racks. NOT A SINGLE NICK OR SCRAPE after > 6 months (care is simple, just wipe w/ a quality dishwashing liquid and a reusable thin cloth, like Handi Wipes, after cooking and ALWAYS use cheap plastic / nylon utensils (as long as it is from that kind of material). It has NEVER STUCK. Look for a QUALITY PAN ON CLEARANCE and you'll be more satisfied than with one of those TV brands (just wait until the quality cookware people has made their stuff in whatever material is in vogue...).

You're also not supposed to wash cast iron, but no matter how seasoned they are, they guy I clean for gets stuff stuck to them. I soak them first, scrub without soap, drain a few minutes, them put them on the stove to drive water our of the pores, then put in oil, swirl it around, let it cool, wipe it all over the inside and the rims. Of course, I just got told to stop using mine at home, because apparently, it's driven my (usually low) blood iron concentration too high.

I've had my stainless steel pans for over 13 years now and they cook just like they did day 1. they are the Wolfgang puck ones. I do like a nice nonstick pan but in those 13 years, I've gone through at last 6 or 8 Teflon coated non stick pans. there just isn't a decent nonstick pan. also my cast iron pan is great too...but there is some learning to make sure it lasts...like you can't use soap on it. and you have to clean it with salt and hot water. then season it after every use by wiping it down with 2Tbl canola oil...not many want to be bothered by that. but it makes the best steaks!

I bet the green pan was the original prototype for the red copper pan and they just rebranded it and improved it.

I’m not gonna dislike your video because you did a wonderful job with the review, however many companies buy parts from the same factory that produces a specific part. Both companies probably just purchased the handle from the same factory.

I seasoned a pan (as per instructions) once.... a very expensive pan..... worst thing I ever did!! 3 months later I threw it away.... have never seasoned a new pan since then and my pans are nearly 10yrs old and still perfect!!

We bought a white "ceramic" pan, a copper one, and the green one over a year ago. The white one is in the trash - the "ceramic" coating was pealing off. The green one and copper one we still use but will have to be replaced soon. They all scratch eventually. When they do, they're toast.

Great review. But, it looks like before you start video, that you like the green pan and hate the copper by the tombs up and down when first holding up the pans in the video preview. I thought that until I actually started the video. Glad I followed up on it.

My Green skillets didn't hold up at all.. I still have my green dutch oven and sauce pots though after 5 years.I love them. Now nothing compares to my copper square skillet. I've had it 2 years and still looks new.

One thing I can tell you about the "Orgreenic" cookware is that What is sold in stores today is a ...I guess you could call a second generation - I bought the Orgreenic about 8 years ago. Mine is made of a slightly heavier gage aluminum than what I see for sale in the store.. I was super fanatical about it's care, and even though it's not in new condition, (the skillets stick a little and the large one is warped in the center like it sagged in the middle so it wobbles) I still cook with it everyday. It's lasted way longer then any of the "Teflon" coated pans. I have been curious about the "Red Copper" cookware.

for one you are only supposed to use low to medium heat. Also at the end of your video i didn't see the burnt ring that you claimed happened? are you a sales rep for the copper pan?

I bet they are the same company. I have one of the red copper pans in the 12 inch size and other than the insignia on the handle and the fact that one is red and copper, they look just the same. I love your reviews! I love my red copper pans too, but I would love to see you try using the red copper pans after you have scratched them a little. If you are going to destroy that one anyway, use it after you scratch it up! Mine was used by my son and scratched, afterward it was much harder to clean than it had been originally.

I had thought that a TV commercial said the copper pan was the new and improved pan. That being said our green pan stained bad, and we ended up using fat for eggs. Stuff did stick a bit, but horrible but not like the commercials. Love your videos, keep up the good work!

Which pan is better on a glass convention surface? A wide, thick, smooth bottom is requited for even contact on the glass. P.S. I hate the convection. Need to swap it with gas eventually.

I'm curious about what happened with your Large 12" OrGreenic Fry pan. Have you ever tried to get any Warranty replacements on any tested pan that failed compared to the Infomercials? Their manufacturer should not make Claims that are False and then be surprised they get Negative Reviews! Maybe the faulty pan was made in China and they dropped a step or two in the assembly or preparation process? Thank you so much for your comprehensive, humerous reveiws to help us buy better products!
