I just did everything and I'm still unable to play for more than 10 minutes without getting the error 0x20010006. at this point I believe that this might be a scheme from rockstar to keep some accounts away. I noticed that I'm able to play more time when I don't start the game for a few weeks, but if I play for a couple of days, then I start getting the error 0x20010006 more frequently until I'm not even able to launch the game. It's probably a way to keep servers free from regular players.

Did they fix it, i didnt have the problem to begin with, but this is very incompetent on their half, they should have asked for the game and system info, and checked before they replied with such half assed comments.

@@HotIsce nope, nothing. But I informed right on my message that I have Windows 10 fully updated and the game also updated. Anyway... I keep getting this error about 2 to 10 times per hour. When I'm on a posse with more people I rarely get this error, but as soon as I left the posse, I get the error 0x20010006 in a few seconds.

tried everything you suggested, nothing works. After 10-15th attempt to connect, it connects me for 5sec to max few minutes (rarely) than goes off again. Each time is some different error code.

I found another fix. I had tried everything else and nothing worked. I disconnected my ethernet cable and I used my smartphone with a USB cable and shared the connection (turn off wifi on your smartphone) It seems to be an issue with my ISP as I get 0 disconnection with my phone's internet.

Create a rule and select rdr 2 from your program list, there are many tutorials on yt explaining how that can be done.

hey! if i delete the social club folder or the rdr2 folder, won’t it bug the game? like, what’s in those folders must have a function in the game, right? i’m afraid that if i delete them my game won’t even open or work at all. right now my problem is that i can’t do any main quest. the naturalist quests are kind of the same thing. when i finish them i get disconnected, but at least everything i did was saved. which is different from main quests, ‘cause i get disconnected in the middle of the quest or when i’m about to finish it 🤦🏼‍♀️

Dont worry, just enable cloud saves and remember your settings, deleting those folders will restore all the game settings to default. And the folders will be auto generated.

HotIsce sorry, i’m so dumb at this lol but... what do you mean by “cloud saves”? my rdr2 was bought on steam. i don’t use steam very much, but i think that every game progress in a game bought on steam is saved in some kind of steam cloud? idk haha i have rockstar games launcher too but idk if there’s a cloud saving mechanism there... is that (steam/rockstar launcher cloud) what you mean by cloud saves? or is it some other way/thing? and which settings do you mean? because i actually haven’t changed any of the default settings for controls like... shift is still for running, wasd for moving, etc i’m really sorry, i seriously have no idea when it comes to any of those things 😂

No problem if you dont know, we all start somewhere. By cloud saves i mean the rockstar cloud saves, i could go all day about it but i think it would be easier if you just look up a video on how to enable cloud saves in rockstar launcher, pretty sure there are a few here on KZbin.😁

if you launch red dead again it will get your ssaves from the cloud.. make sure cloud sync is on then your saves wont be affected cos it's being copied from the cloud as you start the game

@@HotIsce When I had the same message I looked the drivers upgrate then did it when needed and then turn off the firewall and finally put back the low graphs of the game ( AND PUT IT BACK the good graphics AFTER IN THE GAME running good ). For me it working idk why
