its crazy people don't realise how strong john was in both rdr1 and 2, he was able to kill a Mexican general in like 4 punches and by the end the generals face was covered in his own blood, he was an absolute monster who i'd say was probably the third strongest in the gang. Also a shame that there was no activity for street fighting in rdr2 would have been a really fun way to some extra cash.

John and Arthur were actually kinda tied as the enforcers of Van Der Lindes. While John was Dutch’s Golden child, Arthur was more of the older brother. Let me put it this way, John had the more potential while in the Van Der Linde Gang while Arthur was the more hardworking. Then nearing the end of rdr2 he started utilizing his potential. And in the epilogue he fully surpassed Arthur.
