For those who had trouble getting the time limit for gold medal, as soon as John is free run back to the boat asap. Only need to shoot 5 mounted lawmans on the way and while you’re on the boat. So much easier.

I tried this technique expecting it to fail because of abandoning John & Sadie, but it does indeed work. ★TIP★ (additional) Use a pin to mark where the boat is after you reach the island. You need to run towards the watch tower just a little ways because you can't pin where you stand. Then on your escape, you can run directly to the pin/boat.

Guys! Tip: hard save whenever you about to start a yellow mission. And eat your cooked meat to get all cores full. If you failed to get gold medal, you can load that save and start with all the weapons and items you have, instead of replaying with preset gears the game gives you( which is hardcore, some mission dont even give you dead eye refills of any kind)

Very tough mission to get gold on, once u have control on the isle u can sprint to the tower, knife the guard, swap your bolt rifle for the sniper and head shot the 2 guards b4 sadie climbs up, once she up climb down & wait 3 secs for some dialogue between u, then sprint to next cutscene (if u dont wait for dialogue at bottom of ladder u can be too quick & abandon sadie). This saved me 30 secs more at that point in the video from which i could deadeye 6-8 guards at top of prison wall, as backing away on bridge mix it up with deadeye & manual kills, then deadeye the 5 horseman, get cover then deadeye the next 4 horseman which 2 are each side, then sprint for boat, if u on replay then i dread to think how u can get gold unless it give u deadeye refills, good luck.

Yeah i thought i was slick just jumping from the tower & sprinting toward the field only to get that "you abandoned Sadie". A little annoying when you do get to the field & Sadie's like come on Arthur keep running as if I'm not spending the whole mission waiting for her. That last scene sealed Dutch for me. This man had the audacity to leave John behind, risk John being hanged and then scream at Arthur for rescuing what was essentially the person closest to Arthur in the gang at that point. I know Hosea was the person closest to Arthur, and Charles is very close to Arthur too. I know Arthur loves giving Marston a hard time but he really loves him. I have not finished this game yet nor do I know what happens in the first one but there is no redeeming Dutch's character at this point nor do I expect it tbh. Hosea was the wisest character in the gang and with Arrhur likely to die too, that leaves this gang with the 2 most competent people gone, if they even survive.

Ya the video does a lot of unnecessary stuff. Soon as u get John, just run for the boat. Only dudes I killed were the first 5 on horseback once ur back in the field then the last couple on shore to finish the escape

Hey I just played this mission and accidentally skipped the cutscene but still saw the dream/visions at 15:31 + but for me the vision was of a lone wolf from different angles. Anybody else get a different vision? I wonder why ours were different 🤔 is the vision determined by past actions or if it's just because they changed the vision in an update at some point between now and when you uploaded this
