Pro tip: if someone steals you’re long distance wagon you can enter a new online lobby before the mission ends, this lets you keep you’re goods and restart the mission

In the hunting wagon you can store 50 medium pelts and 5 large pelts so if you grind legendaries and fill your wagon with 5 Golden Spirit Bear pelts and 50 Sapa Cougar/Shadow Buck/Rutile Horn Ram pelts you can store more then 3,100 materials for easy access. Thats 15 large trader deliveries.

Something not mention in this video which is one of the most important parts of the Trader Role is where you sell from. Some camp locations are better than others as when you start the sell missions some destinations will be far away and some will be seconds away from the camp. The best location for your camp when selling is the southern tip of Gaptooth Ridge as there are only two possible (close distance) destinations. One is literally 10 seconds away and the other is less than a minute away. Hope this helped

That is true, I had my camp at Gaptooth for a long time, just because less players = less griefers, but there's one bad spot the game kept selecting for me, on top of the ridge next to the Tumbleweed cemetery, there's only one way up or down and that is a pain if you're driving a wagon, but you can change lobbies until you get another spot, most of them are good and the long deliveries are usually to Mcfarland ranch or Thieves Landing

ive done over 1000 trader runs,i like some of the things in your video..thanks.agree wholeheartedly bout dailys.my daily streak was 544 before the nerf back in December of 2021 if i remember correctly..if you switch your first ability card from whatever it is to slow and steady the horse will not buck you,same goes for alligators and aggressive legendary animals..the animal usually circles the horse and you can pick them off...as long as slow and steady is activated it WILL NOT buck you

slow and steady will only stop your horse from bucking while you are in dead eye once that runs out it can buck you off

Emerald ranch is land of 3 star Bucks. Keeping Cripps in materials there is an afterthought. Hunting animals who are actively hunting you is fun though. Don't sleep on the muskrat. They are worth more than rabbits of the same quality.

i like to combine the moonshiner role with trader that way you have TWO deliveries being made up while you are hunting / collecting / bounties / whatever

If you are only looking for role xp you can do short deliveries with 1 good for 200xp crash wagon pick it up on your horse grab a carcass on the way back to camp rinse and repeat.

Yeah you can sample the animals then shoot it. Then call over your horse and stow the carcass on. Then flee your horse. The carcass now can be sold to crips. Keep in mind it only works in free roam.

Don't forget you can actually carry two animals with the rope...just put one on the back on the horse in the second animal just get your rope out in throw it at in while on the horse in head back to camp

Trader is simple but just takes time. If you have level 5 on naturalist, trader role becomes easy cause you can then donate legendary animal pelts to Cripps.

I never play my roles on public lobbies anymore now due to annoying ass players killing me.. I'm mot a pvp player on any game and never will be i like to play solo on RDO and make money stress free, and ACTUALLY enjoy the game. Only time i go to public lobbies is for replaying main story missions.

It might also be good to have a dog at your camp, one time on the last day of double pay out for trader role, I was far from camp hunting and my dog shows up barking at me, a message saying camp was under attack or something like that, when I get back there a bunch of npc's were there, Crips was shooting, I shot a couple of them but the others stole half my goods and disappeared fast, I never even saw them. Only happened to me once a couple years ago, but the dog came to warn me.

If you’re farming exp then the long distance is the worst idea.. you can place your camp in gaptooth and as long as your camp is on the south side of tumbleweed all your local deliveries are like 2min rides.. 25% bonus for the long distance isn’t worth it when it takes you 10min to complete the run

I don’t disagree with the cougar method. But I’m skeptical because some areas especially the forest areas like Cumberland or tall trees have so many buck it’s super fast I can get two perfect buck in no time. Compared to running across the entire Great Plains for a cougar. Considering perfect buck are close to a cougar at 10 Matts but way more abundant I’m not sure which is better actually.

if you're having trouble making gold, get a lake isabella treasure map and any other treasure map. unlimited gold. there's plenty of videos demonstrating the method. still works. got over a hundred gold and 10,000 dollars yesterday. there's also a few methods of obtaining all treasure maps in just a few hours.

You can gltich into a solo lobby for long deliveries you use the character editor but in offensive and be in camp by the campfire and boom solo lobby to sell in. also go offline too to make sure no one joins happy deliveries guys

I've just taken Trader and Moonshiner (Due to Moonshiner only being 15 gold this month (June 2023)), but I'm waiting to do anything in Trader until I get Naturalist to 20, so I don't have to deal with what's her name anymore. The role I hate the most, and is sitting at level 1 for the past two months with only 632 XP is Bounty Hunter.

Great video! I always watch your stuff for RD tips and advice. Recently playing on PS4, i keep getting a glitch doing short distance trade deliveries. I'll have a bunch of bandits attack the buyers as Im arriving in Armadillo and after i kill the bandits, the prompt "Take out the bandits" doesn't go away. The mission clock keeps ticking and nothing happens until it times out and the game says: MISSION ENDED and i get no $ for the delivery even though it made it to the buyer. I'm gonna move my camp and try again tomorrow but yeah, the first major issue I've experienced in RDO other than the stable glitch.

I recently created one trader too. But even in short distance, you still can be attacked by other players. a simple dynamite will be the end of it. My rec is go on solo lobby, then start the delivery. You'll be in solo mode for the entire delivery. There will be npc attackers but they are easy to dispatch.

Last time I played (over a year ago) and got attacked by a-hole players, I quickly ended the game after they killed me, then after starting back up, I was back at camp with my full load of goods ready to be delivered. I don't know if the thieves were able to cash in my goods or not.

There's ways and means to go into private lobby mode - that's all I play these days, as there is simply no joy in the online experience when it's full of idiots who just grief you. So, I've ended up treating online as SP mode - you don't get to do any of the co-operative stuff, unless you have friends who play the game you trust - but there's so many other things to do, it doesn't matter much. I have to say, the Trader Role looks like a bit of a grind - I've avoided it until now, but may give it a shot.

I'm sure you know by now that you can not get a sample then kill it to turn in to Cripps. It's def good to level up the naturalist role all the way so you can unlock the wilderness camp and also the horses. I leveled up pretty quick by just doing samples and taking her missions to attack the poachers camps.

@@HelenaGLongbottom53 Here's what I did to level up naturalist role quickly, I just kept getting samples only, did nothing else, shooting mostly rabbits and other small animals because they need only 1 or 2 shots, then go back to Harriet, sell her all the samples and gaining XP, buy more ammo, also do her poacher mission when I buy the ammo, poacher missions aren't too hard and you get a good amount of XP to level up. After you shoot all the poachers you have to release the animals they have in cages, just make sure you are up on top of something so they can't attack you and shoot the cage door to open it. I don't think you have to sample them, just release, they are usually bears, cougar or wolves, but check out a video on how to do the poacher mission because it's been a long time ago I did that, they may have changed it. After I leveled all the way up unlocking all the good stuff I never see Harriet again, unless it's an easy daily challenge.

It always seems like when ever I play and I'm collecting or doing something for any role and I get attacked by other players I always get the feeling they got burned out and boredom kicked in for them. Just like gta 5 back then when people used to do those car missions(I forgot what they are called) but pretty much you would steal a car and then sell it back but people would grief you and blow up the car and shit. In gta 5 there was a way you can get a solo online lobby and it’s no different and I just found out today. I still don’t know how to do cause I literally just found out but I’m assuming you can search up RDR2 solo lobby and a method will come up. It’s very good

You missed the most important part, you get 200xp everytime you make a small delivery doesnt matter how much you deliver. You do this with 1 good until lvl 10 then you finaly get the hunting wagon and bigger wagon.

It doesn't happen a lot, if you are attacked killed, just quit the game or change lobbies quick before the mission fails and you'll be back at camp with your load all ready to go.
