Seems like everyone likes their camp in the heartlands, I've always preferred camp in the great plains with my moonshine shack in tall trees. That way they're nice and close to each other and the hunting is great in the plains. There's 2 cougar spawn points near by and tons of deer

Same place I generally post up. Grinding animals in that location seems to be easy because deer and pronghorns are everywhere, and the trader runs never seem too difficult either. Being able to hit up my moonshine shack quickly when that's ready for a run is also helpful, and Harriet is close by MacFarlane's Ranch if you want to run to her and do legendary animal missions.

@@samverick when your goods are ready move the camp to gaptooth ridge and run it from there. Farthest you'll go is usually MacFarlane ranch. Then after the run you can move camp back to great plains 👍

Not gonna lie, I was thinking of doing that aswell mainly because it was restricted in the story but then that's where most of the epilogue takes place and I really like it now. There's that and during the introduction, my character was on the way to Blackwater and my camp was set up in Great Plains and when I eventually start my Moonshiner business, I was gonna put it in Tall Trees because it's close to my camp.

Fastest legendary missions are the gator and elk. After that, the quicker ones are ram and beaver. Highest payouts on pelts will be golden bear, bison, cougar, and buck.

9:35 a perfect whitetail buck is 12.50 materials 10:44 a perfect cougar is 16.88 and a great spawn area is north of Annesburg on the train tracks Grab some small game arrows and spend some time shooting squirrels, with a carcass you can sell it, or break it down, for meat, pelt, carcass and tail. These are good if Cripps wants a perfect squirrel pelt or donations or carcasses in a time limit for a daily challenge!

When you level up the trader role there is a skill you get for getting more value from 3 star pelts and carcasses. Also 1/2 (7) of Harriet's Legendary animal missions the pelts are worth double than other ones she has. These one have value in excess of $50 for trader. All free roam Legendary have crappy value compared to her lowest value ones.

Since the video is titled (most efficient) you should bring up the rate at which Cripps turns materials in to goods. By giving him nothing but ledgendery will speed up the time to 100 goods. Also all of Harriet missions require skinning, make sure you have room in your wagon or the table.

Another thing to note is that when you do buy a trader wagon, you can put unlimited pelts in it. This can be useful if you need to hold off on giving Cripps some materials because he's nearly full, or you just have too much good stuff in the back of your wagon that you don't want to trash, or you just need to toss a 1 or 2 star pelt in the back after you've shot a bunch of 3 star animals.

If you mean the hunting wagon, then it does NOT hold unlimited pelts. 50 small/medium is the max plus (i think) 10 big pelts

good video. BUT you needed to list 2 or 3 animals separately as being the best carcasses for the 2 SADDLE SLOTS on your horse. after all, your horse isn't "full" until those slots are taken. without testing i'd say the top 2 animals for those slots are jackrabbit and muskrat. maybe some of the swamp birds or eagles etc are worth more than a muskrat, like i said, i haven't tested. but the jackrabbit is the king of the saddle slot.

Fun fact moose no longer spawn at all. I went through 48 irl hours looking in all locations at all times of the day to never see any. I believe that when rockstar updated the game so theres no invisible walls it messed up animal spawns and now moose dont spawn and neither do rats. Rats you can hear but you cant see or track em. Way to go rockstar

Hunting Quails is good, put 30 in you satchel and for the perfect is 3.44 each. You can find them in the Great plains and Heartlands. Also if you kill a good one with the bow it turns to perfect, when you pick it up. 30 X 3.44 fills up Cripps.

This is a great overview and I wish I came across a video like this when I was just starting the trader role. I especially like its focus on efficiency because the videos I saw focused on cougars or something close due to their high value but I couldn't really farm them efficiently like I can with deer or pronghorns nearby my camp. I mostly figured out some of this information over time just by playing but admittedly I didn't know a lot about some of the animals like the panthers yet. I just started the naturalist role and kind of loathe Harriet but I think it will be worthwhile once I can start some of the legendary animal missions.

I use the hunting wagon, and hunt cows, buffalo, or gators. That way I can fill up the wagon in a minute or two.

I'm at Great Plains, i love it, dears, hogs , cougars near my camp and the bison heard just across the road and elks nearby the forest at Tall Trees, the best place in my opinion. I dont't have the hunting wagon yet, but i carry one perfect carcass on my back, one perfect longhorn or cougar carcass on my horse and one tied with the lasso.

I like the great plais by blackwater. Right under the p is a bison spawn. Bolt action rifle. Right in the eye, and circle them between kills to keep thrm from despawning. A wagon fill third a third of a bar

"If you're going to do legendary animals ONLY do legendary animals".. because she doesnt have a problem with you killing them, but she can long distance sniff you out for killing ALL others and breaks the progression with her if you do naturalist?

Talking to Harriet and not getting sprayed breaks her anger meter, so to speak. So, if you do the legendary animal miosions for her, and kill them instead of sampling them, and then immediately go back to her for another mission, she will never spray you, because it won't be enough to piss her off in one go. Its the way i maintained my trader role while leveling up my naturalist role to max.

The best way to fill cripps is to always be shooting birds and skin them, specifically birds with plumes: heron, egret, spoonbill. These fill trader with a ton of material and most importantly, you keep them in your pocket and don’t have to rush off to deliver a huge pelt or carcass…

The flight feathers, duck/goose feathers, game meat, and plump meat sold to the butchers fills up the 1000 parts donated fast for that little bit of gold and the animal fat from those 2 birds is great for explosives and way faster than killing boars/pigs.

Just Get the Naturalist and a Hunting Wagon. You can store pelts and Farm Harriett missions for The legendary Animal Pelts. Takes less than 10 minutes Is 7 out of 12 missions. You’ll get nothing less Than $35.28 and the most you can get $65 in Materials and these are all skins. That will put your materials back at Half for your trader wagon. No need to go searching for these terrible time consuming pelts

i cannot confirm if it's true, but APPARENTLY free roam legendary creatures can spawn if you don't have naturalist. just very rarely. this could be a bug. EDIT, also if you pay attention you'll notice that you receive %10 less materials for legendary animals than is indicated in the trader menu. Cripps is a thief.

Just kill aligators near lemoyne. They dont walk. Dont move. Dont attack mostly. Some birds spawn around. Frogs are easy spot on mud. Even without hunting wagon you are much faster than walking anywhere on map. Guide as precise it is. It has flaws. In each location and animal there is if-then. Crockodiles are easiest. No offense to guide content creator

@@dflkfhgpoidsfhg bison are the worst things ive found for filling the camp.big doesnt equal more goods for cripps..Jackrabbit and muskrat are just as good and spawn more frequently. i can carry enough animals in my satchel to not hunt for several days..ive run over a 1000 trader runs in the game and i love the hunting as well myself

@@danparker1976 I don't mind the hunting my self its calming but naw homie the bison fill up faster then the deer even like I said I got the hunting wagon so I kill like 7 of em and drop em off and go right back and more have spawned

What Pissess me off is slots in cart won't accept some animals, says no room but I've only 4 fucking animals in the damn cart
