Pssst...solid brass slugs have been around since at least the 1920's. Highly effective in 30-06 against bear and moose. The tungsten and brass slug in a 12ga is a newish thing; though not exactly revolutionary.

Always appreciate the hard work that goes into both sourcing and loading the shells, the amount of filming and providing personality on camera, as well as the insane amount of hassle that comes with capturing/editing high-speed footage. It's always great to see OG as the guest shooter and of course there have been a few imitations but "there can only be one" truly authentic OG finger wiggle . I'm sure OG will make appearances as often as circumstance permits & hopefully the move won't be too stressful . The machinist who donated these slugs certainly pulled out the stops engineering them & that tungsten core just makes even more exotic , well made & well done . I'd say You did a great job of guesstimating the load for those rounds they were pretty accurate compared to some of the creations that have tortured shooters shoulders over the years . The soft tissue damage is unreal, the massive temporary wound cavity PLUS the petals breaking away and destroying anything in the way is incredible. This slug seems like more of an all-purpose slug, good on barriers, good on soft targets, good on armor. You could have a similar slug just with the tungsten carbide swapped out for hard cast lead to reduce cost.

15:35 appart from velocity, allready a problem with ww2 APCR/HVAP with tungsten cores were, that the penetration at 30° was allready heavily dropping duo to core shattering of the tungsten carbite. I suppose similar results are visible here on the High hardenes AR500.
