That was a fun game to watch. Feel bad for Lee, his was definitely going in.

I hope he gets to put this behind him, he was looking very dark when he came off. This kind of mistakes happen (remember Mullin's offside tap in last season?). But the team did superbly well playing together and it's no doubt due to Lee's work when he was on. For eg, Palmer's goal after rewatch and analysis is because Lee calmly passed the ball back to Dobson to go out wide, giving time to McClean to join the attack, causing the defender to look back at McClean and position slightly further away from Palmer, while Lee himself faked behind the other defender then bursting in front of him, making that defender unable to stick close enough to Palmer. The cross was pinpoint accurate but both defenders in front and behind Palmer also were half-drawn away from him because of Lee's quick decision makings.

When the ball was bouncing high in the air in the Wrexham penalty area (at 2:20), Rathbone very consciously placed both arms behind his back while blocking the ball, no doubt to avoid any accidental contact with the ball that would result in a penalty shot for Exeter. That's very savvy defending.
