35:12 I was there! Howard was kind enough to, after I had written a letter to him via the fan club, invite me and my dad to the Angel Islington studios to attend the recording of this music! I was able to get a day off school (Wednesday 16th October 1996) and we sat in the sound booth and watched the whole thing. The highlight was absolutely the "Stoke Me A Clipper" beginning, though. We all piled into the sound booth afterwards to watch the rough edit. Ed Bye was there, as was Doug Naylor. Ed and my dad really got on well, I remember! Howard was absolutely lovely, even staying behind a bit afterwards to play the theme tune on the piano there, and gave me his baton and a piece of the sheet music from Stoke Me A Clipper. When he was leaving he said he was going home to compose something for Richard Curtis' daughter's wedding! Amazing. I had just turned 14 years old and it still ranks as the best day of my life.

When I was younger, I always thought Hatty (female Holly) sang the end theme tune. Just as I used to think Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney) sang the Only fools and horses opening tune.

52:43 "That's us until september, may as well queue the song." Howard just starts playing it, what a fucking legend. A musical luminayr. Thank you sir

The more I listen to people who know things, the more I realise I'm living on the tip of the ice-berg.

LOVE Howard Goodall. His How Music Works series teaches me something new every time I watch it. [Edit] - Yeah, I couldn't finish this last night because I started dicking about with the Vocoder in Ableton Live. Just finished it. Howard is a low-key national treasure and I'd really like to see more of him in media. Please Howard, do a one-man show, do another TV special, create a KZbin channel and put out 10 minute video essays - anything.

Peter Frampton “show me the way” is the song you are talking about, I think.

I'm a musician too so really appreciate this special episode, thank you😄 the Baroque arrangement of the theme in the Kryten episode season 1..... magnificent btw (all the music in Red Dwarf is good but one has to admire that one😄) maybe i'll add some of my flute on it for a laugh😄😄

Guessing we won't see Doug Naylor on this show. His input is missed.
