The fact that they managed to make all those seasons AND a movie is a great thing and rarely happens - The last few seasons were high quality - certainly better than some earlier seasons

I think they have said it’ll be a new cast as them but set before red dwarf on titan but the current characters will be played by other characters but the current cast will make special appearances

The legal battle has already been squashed. There is going to be Doug Naylor continuing the regular series and Rob Grant doing a prequel series.The cast are getting old though. Its hard for Robert Llewelyn to wear the Kryten mask.

They have already got the rights back i thought. they are making more set in red dwarf but not with the main cast. they might make special appearances

The rights issues have been resolved. Doug can continue (if he wants) with the series and Rob is doing some sort of prequel. but not much more is known yet. It is believed that the prequel may be a book or game

Yes, that’s right. Good to have Rob Grant back. Just a shame he’s not writing for the original cast again. They are in desperate need of his dialogue. Would be cool to have more novels though. @@bletheringfool
