I'm a little surprised this bike owner went with the "old" Red vs. the "new" Force, but then that would've screwed up your video title.
@idaniamairena4191 Жыл бұрын
It went together easily in less than an hour. kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.

Just curious. Do you often use Parktool ASC-1 anti-seize compound for head bearings and BB? I use PPL-1 Polylube grease for non-thread contact points but curious to see if I should use ASC-1 instead.
@pierrex32268 ай бұрын
the product description says "Park Tool Anti-Seize Compound reduces friction in threaded and press fit applications for easy assembly and disassembly. Ideal for bottom bracket and pedal threads, pressed headset cups, seat posts, quill stems, etc. ASC-1 seals and protects parts from corrosion and rust under the most extreme conditions."

The own press releases of the new owner say the production of frames will stay in Slovakia. Maybe that will change in a few years, but the US factory is meant to assemble bikes for the US market, as i understand it. I think the Slovakia factory can produce 5000 frames a year, given they even weave their own fiber, it's not something you can move overnight. Rossignol spent years consolidating frame production in Slovakia.
