EJ - Epic Journey Yeah, but all Red-Eyes ever does is foreplay. It sort of does things, but it doesn't have any sense of direction. It has an identity crisis, it doesn't know what kind of archetype it wants to be. Red-Eyes has potential? Yeah, wasted potential. All it has is potential. It never lives up to its potential, but Konami keeps starting archetype ideas for it, but then just drops it to try something new.

Looking back I can't tell how excited I am for this new Red-Eyes support because it plays the archetype in a new direction rather than burn damage and the chance to summon Red-Eyes for free. Especially Red-Eyes Gearfreid. I can chain equip loops between him with Red-Eyes Baby Dragon to search him, equip, pop to destroy a spell or trap, search Black Metal Dragon, or Red-eyes chain an opponents monster to Gearfreid, get that attack boost, double attack then pop for another spell and trap on opponents field just to be a dick about it.

Understandable but Fang with Chain isn't always a plus bc it gives your Red Eyes Monster the SAME EXACT atk & def of the monster you choose to equip it too from your opponents side of the field so in a way it's kinda not worth it if it doesn't INCREASE your Red Eyes monster by that atk or def !

It needs a fusion that's not busted but really good kinda like buster blader fusion spell or the new dark fusion spell and have it search out inferno fire blast or something that effect cuz its desperately in need of main deck support, perhaps a better way to trigger float card effects such as baby dragon and alternative black dragon and a way to destroy monsters plus its own melody

Make thousand dragon the syncro of red eyes and make a couple more warriors like flameswordsman, battle warrior, Maybe make time wizard a tuner? Some new dice cards would be cool too. Jinzo would also rock maybe give it something like remove one red eyes monster to special summon itself then give it the same effect as regular jinzo.

I think it’s pretty obvious most of these Cards were designed for Duel Links. I mean these Cards support a completely different strategy from the previous Red-Eyes Cards in the TCG, which were more focused on born damage and normal monster support rather than equip cards and card destruction. I can’t imagine a situation Where you’d wanna play a Red-Eyes fusion deck with Slash Dragon over a Red-Eyes fusion deck with Meteor Black Comet Dragon. I think the reason they made this New support is mostly because the current Red-Eyes support they had in the TCG was too powerful for Duel Links, so they made New Red-Eyes support that was completely different from the previous stuff so they could add Red-Eyes cards to Duel Links without making Red-Eyes broken. Also they’re very clearly based off Joey’s anime deck, so there’s probably that reason too, as the previous Red-Eyes support we had didn’t really reflect Joey’s playstyle.

When red eyes slash negates effect and “then destroy” that card.. if its like a dark necrofear that attacks into it and then targets it from the grave for its effect.. red eyes cant destroy it the card so can it still negate necrofears effect?

Because the stuff they were making up, in Season 1 and 2, are now being printed as actual card, for example "Attack The Moon". "Kairyu Shin Rage" is another example of made up stuff in season 1 being printed as a card.

Why would Gemini be a play style? They only have a Gemini card so they can treat it like OG Red-eyes. The fusion and burn styles are the same thing. The fusions are the ones that burn. And they've already been using equip cards. Black Metal Dragon, Black Dragon Sword, and we can't forget that Joey used Gearfried and Kunai with Chain. They've always been a Fusion Burn deck, with some equip support.
