I'm with you on the bit about armor, CiG really needs to implement a quick and simple Paid Item recovery feature and just tag those items so others cannot currently use them to fix the fear of duping for others that didnt pay. At least for now, as far as stats I'd be happy if they made these paid Armors just liveries or skins honestly.

Everyone's experience is anecdotal, a lot of people say they run into a ton of bugs, other people (me included) run into maybe a handful over hours. I think most of the really bad ones are related to server health, available ram, and network stability. I'd say give it a shot. Also there's currently a free fly event running so there's nothing to lose.

The only reason I'm buying a fortune over a vulture is because the fortune will fit into my Iron Chad assault. And from the looks of it, unless they change the dimensions, the vulture won't be able to fit in there with the roof closed. With all the different Star Citizen content creators I watch, it's kind of weird how no one's pointed that out unless maybe I'm wrong and a vulture can fit in an Iron Chad.

Im buying a couple CCUs to the Fortune but waiting to see the differences in use. I think the Fortune is going to be the in-atmo structure salvager, due to the VTOL and scraper head angle.

It's too bad I don't like the color red (partial colorblindness), I like that these seem to be a more matte finish. I agree with your initial thoughts on the Fortune, the Vulture still seems like the overall better solo salvage ship but the Fortune hits a couple of niche uses. If someone doesn't mind making multiple trips and moving cargo is the worst part of the salvage loop, the Fortune works better (although I'd argue that maybe salvage gameplay isn't something they should probably focus on if they dislike moving cargo, haha). I also think this will fit in more ship hangars than the Vulture, it's already been suggested that two of these will fit in the Polaris hangar, and I think if you've got a crew all working together and don't want to use a Reclaimer for some reason, going out in a Polaris and creating scrap-ready ships and then having two Fortunes pop out to deal with the wrecks might be an interesting process to take part in, and there could still be crew on the Polaris waiting to unload those exterior cargo grids so the Fortune pilots are ready to go back out. Where they're finding enough scrap to make it necessary (or even interesting) to bring two small salvage ships instead of just one is none of my business, really, but if that niche happens to exist then I think the Fortune fits it better than the Vulture does.

I got a Fortune it's really not bad I got 33 scu in it but I still prefer the vulture because it can fit more I am gonna keep the fortune. Edit: you can actually leave the auto eject on while you scrape idk if anyone knew.

I can't say for sure yet because I haven't flown it yet and haven't salvaged with it yet. However my first guess is no, because the Vulture can do more albeit less efficiently. If I wanted more efficiency while scraping I would take out a reclaimer with friends.

Got 23% savings on a fortune. for a 175$ ship its pretty decent start to a long term odyssey chain considering there arnt much ccu's available that low.

Small correction, the Titan starter pack is $75 Your comment about there is not much difference between the 100 and 300 series, other than you mentioning the landing pad size, the 100s have the AIR intake system. While not relevant today, when the majority of ships lose their thruster fuel scoops, will the 100i starter pack be the best entry level ship to learn SC by just running box missions really efficiently while waiting to go crew someone else’s ship?
