The whiplash of hearing 8 full minutes of sardonic criticism of the module's main villain and lack of reasons to care, followed by, "I like this module." I was not prepared for that conclusion.

Sometimes the Battle at the Gates section is just that good lol. Also the other adventure locations are cool, though getting them to flow together takes some extra work. And you get to fight Tiamat! Well Aspect of Tiamat!

Sorry to see this isn’t doing as well as some of the other videos, just here to say that I love the content and don’t feel discouraged by the algorithm

My other videos gained most of their viewership 1 year or more after posting. No idea why, but they will just spike 10k views at random times, then level back out. That helps me not feel disheartened when videos dont instantly do crazy numbers. These types of comments help as well, so thank you!

Man I love this channel. Every 10 months or so a new video pops up and it rekindles that wee buzz I got seeing these videos for the first time, when I was brand new to D&D.

OH SHIT! Are we going 3.5 with this series? Fingers crossed for a Shackled City in 12 minutes!

I have not heard of Shackled City before. What kind of adventure is that?
@connerwareing39654 ай бұрын
@@GreenDMIt’s an Adventure Path (I believe primarily written by Chris Perkins) a series of adventures released monthly in Dungeon Magazine. 3.5 had three: Shackled City, Age of Worms, and Savage Tide, and then the style was picked up by Pathfinder with Rise of the Runelords and Kingmaker being the most well known. I’ve run one or two and pilfered several for ideas, but always loved Shackled City’s suspenseful intrigue as a city atop a volcano’s caldera.

I looked at my shelf of 20 unplayed DnD adventures and decided to donate it to my local high school dnd club. They will have waaaay more time to play all these year long campaign books than I will. Besides I bought them all on DnD beyond to get the isolated adventure art for the videos anyway.

Got a copy right after I watched Matt Colville mentioning it, but haven't had a chance to run it yet. Thinking of letting Brindol fall into the nine hells and running an adapted version of Descent into Avernus after that, but we'll see.
@GreenDM4 ай бұрын
That would be a great way to make this into an adventure that goes into higher levels or has more fantastical elements! You can even put more Tiamat since she is a part of the Avernus!

I am starting this for my group Saturday, very excited. Definitely adding stuff where I can. I completely revamped part 3 with the ghost lord. Keeping the character but making all of part 3 tie in directly with 2 of my players back stories. Also going to make it so after Vraath keep they can choose weather to attempt to rally the kiri tor/deal with the wyrmlord at Rhest or go handle the Ghostlord and Wyrm lord there. I like this module but it doesn't give the players much choice. This video is great. Very well done and needed... reading this campaign book is a snoozefest. I had chatGPT read the pdf I bought and make me cliffsnotes. =D
