A little uneven but I dig this. Jason popping off a shot in Tim's ear to incapacitate him was a nice touch as well as showing Tim as the great detective that he is . That ending fight was sick. A lot of work went into it and it shows. Fantastic choreography.

I am a huge Jason Todd fangirl, and I gotta say, this is top notch. I've always been disappointed at fancasting, and I've never actually found an actor whom I thought could portray Jason Todd well enough. But this guy is good. His voice acting, his build and movements, even his face- although quite different from what I've imagined, matched the whole "black sheep" thing. Good job!

At first, I didn't care too much for the fighting scenes, but once it got down to Tim and Jason fighting it started to get better. I also like the person who plays Jason. Their voice seems to fit what I would imagine to be Jason's voice.

The actor for Jason is literally so amazing and my asthma started acting up when he and Tim started fighting. This is my favorite thing on KZbin ever made and I'm going to obsess over it, the quality of this is absolutely INSANE for a non-profit fan work and honestly is nothing short of art, thank you so much for my life.

I think I might be seeing things but is that the white streak in Jason's hair? Holy shit, this is the best rendition of Jason's character of all the web series I've seen. We can see his anger but also his pain and all the things that make him such a complex character bubbling underneath. And also, Tim was fantastic! I've been waiting so long for this. I have seen a few Red Hood attempts on KZbin, but this is by far the best version I have seen. I loved the perfect rip from the comics and game of Pig. Tim was fairly good. But this Red hood is my absolute favorite. I am so happy with this and really love it. I can't wait for episode 2 guys. This was amazing. Thank you so much for this

And the producer did say that Jason did know that Tim had on protective armor. So I guess he shot him because he knew it wouldn't cause critical damage.

Alright, quick review of the first episode here. First, let me start with the positives. The actors all seem to be doing a very good job, they seem consistent, in character, etc. I especially want to comment on whoever you got to play Pig, good lord that was perfect! The weird noises, the oinking, the bizarre speech pattern. Everything about the performance was spot on. The actor you had for Tim seemed a little shaky at points, but overall he did a good job. The costume design was also pretty good considering you probably didn't have an especially large budget to work with. There were some things, like the fact there were some actual hockey pads going on (and we all know how Christian Bale feels about those), but the characters all looked like they were supposed to, and it didn't distract too much at all. The cinematography was overall well done, and captured a very "Batman" kind of feel. Though perhaps less shining flashlights directly into the camera. Now then, the negatives The pacing of this episode felt... off, like, at every point. First we have the beginning, with Vicky Vale going on about gang violence, and then, with out a lot of build up, just the title. Maybe it was jsut me, but it felt too sudden. Also, the news report itself felt very disconnected to to what was happening in the actual episode, I'm sure that'll factor in later, but beyond mentioning Batman, there was no mention of Pig's stuff, or Red hood. This could have been a perfect opportunity to build up the fact that there's a vigilante killing people in Gotham, some thinking it's Batman, others thinking it's someone else. I don't know, it jsut felt disconnected from what happened in this episode. There's also the point when Tim was walking through the hallways. I get you were trying to build tension, but... he was just walking. Nothing beyond that was happening. When the music started playing, and we saw the Dollotron turn its head, that was creepy, that was well done, but before that, there really wasn't much there to get me invested or nervous like it seems you guys were intending. And then there was Tim, and Jason. Presumably the main character of this series is Jason, following his story after his resurrection by Ra's al Ghul. however, this felt like the first episode of a Tim Drake series, featuring Redhood. Even the way you introduced him, with Tim in this fight with the Dollotrons, and then Jason comes in, wipes them out and puts Tim down, it seemed like how one would introduce a rival character, or a villain for the main character. This episode focused mostly on Tim, with Jason stapled on. There was also the fight choreography. The choreography itself wasn't bad, though the actors did at points seem a little restrained, especially that one moment when Jason does this pointless little hop while shooting a Dollotron in the head, but it was okay overall. However... PLEASE HOLD THE CAMERA STILL. Shaky cam doesn't work when Michael Bay does it, and it doesn't work here, it's just nauseating. I also want to bring up how quickly Tim figured out it was Jason. They'd barely been talking for more than a few minutes, Tim was likely disorientated from earlier, and Jason hadn't really said much beyond a few small references to Batman to give away who he was. On top of that, Tim shouldn't have met Jason at this point in time, he was dead before he became the new Robin, and I'm pretty sure their paths never crossed. Basically, Tim, despite all of that, figured out he was talking to someone he KNEW was dead based off a brief conversation and the symbol on his chest. I know Tim is a fantastic detective, better than Bruce even, but that is taking it a little too far. I could see him coming to the conclusion he was someone Batman worked with in the past, he may even wonder if it was Jason, but to just figure it out right then and there, no. Also, that entire scene felt like it should be saved for later in the series, maybe Tim's been following Redhood's trail for a while, he finally catches up to him, and THEN they have this big emotional encounter. This early in the series, it feels unearned, we don't even have a plot yet and we're already throwing this at the audience. That be like if half way through A new Hope, Darth Vader was like "Oh yeah, by the way I have a kid, named Luke, just thought I'd throw that out there", that would have completely destroyed that whole reveal. Now to be fair, most people do know who the Redhood is already, but even still, just throwing that right into the first episode, with no build up takes away any emotional punch the scene could have had. Batman, and Tim are detectives, it would have been cool to see some actual detective work, not just an "Ah-ha" moment. Those need to be earned. Despite all the negative stuff I've put out, I did enjoy this, and look forward to more, but there is work needed. All the same, I wish you the best, and will be waiting eagerly for more.

VocalCalibration Thank you for pointing out the pointless hop, I felt most of the moves Jason did while shooting were a little too flashy, like the shooting in both feet then kicking him felt pointless, he could've ended it all just by shooting them all in the head, which would've left room in the episode to fit in more, more of the suspense buidling you also pointed out, I didn't feel any suspense, only when Tim and Jason were talking but whatever suspense there was simply vanished in the moment he instantly figures it out, I just felt that this was a little half assed, could've been worse but definitely could've been better

This was amazing!!!! I loved it! But....I have some constructive criticism for you! (Hope you don't mind) Here are some things I didn't like about it: The actor who played Tim Drake did not deliver his lines in a believable fashion. It felt forced/unnatural. So...maybe work on his delivery? The shaky camera in the first fight scene. I could barely tell what was going on. Maybe try some more unique action shots in the future? That's pretty much all I didn't like......now to GUSH over it!!! The sets and the COSTUMES!!! Those costumes are soooo realistic!!! The sets were well lit and lived in! The fight between Jason and Tim was balanced and made my heart pound!!! This is what all your action scenes should look like!!!! Jason's actor was wonderful!!! Once you get a story going it's going to be truly great!!!! That's all for now!!! Hope that was useful!!! Great Job!

Amazing screenplay and costumes, for a fan made. Although you could thicken the plot a bit. I have always been a fan of The Batman Family, especially Jason. I got a few ideas to up your plot game a notch, and overall movie quality. I'm excited to work in a non profit projects such as yours.

Loved this. Very well put together. Great writing. Outstanding acting. Wonderful costume design. Amazing fight choreography. Also, it was pretty cool that Tim Drake was able to figure out that Red Hood was Jason so quickly. Tim Drake is a great detective after all. Seems as if a lot of thought was put into this series. Can't wait for episode 2! I will definitely be donating to the indiegogo.

Really awesome beginning to this series, the fight choreography is amazing, the costumes are great for being on a budget the acting is decent, I really liked Red hood's distorted voice. Only creative criticism I could give is that even though we all know who the Red Hood really is you should have saved the reveal for Batman (although I bet that fight scene would have been super difficult for that actor if he was wearing the Helmet.) Anyway great job guys I can't wait for the next episode and I'll be showing this to all of my Batman fan friends!

You've the best writing out of all Red Hood fan films/series I've seen so far. Excited to see more!! Hopefully you will improve your audio in the future, however. Also, if you're going to be speeding up footage often, you should probably invest in a steadicam rig. Still great though, better than a lot of fan films. Thanks for focusing on some characters that don't usually get as much screen time. =)

producers should really take a look at what these guys did. it was so professional. I feel like this series is gonna do so well and probably make it big. the only bad thing about the episode was the audio. they shoulda reduced background noise to completely 0 for a more dramatic effect.

Not entirely sure, looked like TKD, and Wushu (jujitsu, I feel like Tim would have used the length of the weapon a bit more but I say that from my arts rokshaku-bo so not an actual jujutsu guy.) maybe some judo though too.... gonna enjoy re-watching to try and deduce ;)

Production design, choreography and cinematography were on point for the most part on all of that guys! Kudos. That's got to be one of the best looking fan films to date. Only small criticism was Jason's whole opening with the Dollotrons being in slow motion felt a little old after a while. I would have preferred to see it in real time empathising how fast and lethal he is without the Zack Snyder effect :P But other than that brilliant! Sound could've been recorded better at some bits but we all have problems on the day and the rest of it more than makes up for those points.

tenshunn hey bro totally ran across this randomly and just finished watching it. I FUCKING LOVED IT!!!!😆😆😆. Those fights were choreographed great. Acting was great just about everything was great. I already saw some of the comments saying you just wrapped like 2 weeks ago or something but are you guys getting close to setting a date? (This is going to be a long comment btw's lmao) anyway some things that would be cool to see going forward would defo be seeing the Joker, Red Hood v. Batman (of course xD) and maybe go in the direction of the comics and have him face off against Black Mask since you guys dropped his name in the beginning (I think?) the only other thing that I can think of that would be fun is Red Hood and the Outlaws maybe have a cameo by Red Arrow anyway I'll give you a break from reading all this shit and wrap it up. Keep doing what you all are doing because it's good shit. Can't wait for EP 2 and you totally just got another sub just to find out when the next video comes out. Keep up the good work!!!😊😊😊😁😊
