From what I've heard from the new stuff live it kinda feels like certain songs have a different era of RHCP in them with maybe a little more pop thrown in. And from what has been said in interviews the album is much about life and death. I think the overall feel is that its still the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they've just been reborn.

@everlyredhot SA? No way, this is a total new style and it has some funky song like in their old times too. Maybe there are a few songs similiar to SA, but there's a lot of different kind of music tracks in the album. Monarchy of Roses also got a great, incredible chorus btw :D
