Played next to the bridge pickup with middle-high strength (slap passage with harder strength) Just neck knob activated
Gear Sound:
Added some bass, cut a little middle and some treble (not much). Compression needed for playing style differences (slap, finger).
About The Song:
Really liked the song. It's more complex than it looks actually, more refined playing by Flea, more use of staccato in verses, quite tricky. Please if you have questions just ask in comments. Transcription made with live and studio versions.

It's great how many little variations Flea does in his bass lines. I'm originally guitarist and got a used Flea Bass yesterday. It's fun discovering all RHCP songs from a new point of view. Is this one of the Chili Peppers originals? I'm wondering because the first part of the song (chords and melody) are not that far away from one Elton John's songs called "Bennie and the Jets". Though instead of going to Elton's G#dim, the Chili Peppers goes to C. Yes there are quite a few songs with chord progressions that are similar, but having almost the same melody? To me that's pushing it a bit. Nice playing though!
