The real GOAT of this song is John for not having an ego and forcing the guitar into places where it doesn't need to be. That's true guitar mastery IMO.
@DoctorSess2 жыл бұрын
The most important thing I learned playing in a band both live shows and recording was not trying to do too much. At first we all tried to play as technical as we could - I guess to stand out. Once you realize less is more and that it’s about playing the *right* thing for that moment of a song it all comes together. It’s about being part of a larger organism, a piece of the whole. That’s what makes great music.
@SmokingSevens2 жыл бұрын
I heard that the bass-out-front songs like this were from times when they couldn't rely on John to be at his best (either deep into a heroin binge, or feeling rough trying to come off the heroin).
@BradyIsAfagInHeat Жыл бұрын
@@SmokingSevens John not at his best is still better than 90 percent of guitarists at their best, BUT this was an intersting thing to read
@samod7550 Жыл бұрын
@@SmokingSevens John wasn't using heroin during the recording of this album. It was most likely a case of artistic choice or just not feeling the confidence to play as prominently on that track

I just covered this song with a friend of mine and I need to give credit where credit is due; you have helped me out so many times with so many songs with so many tabs. Thank you for your time and efforts into your videos. You've been guiding me for years and I hope you keep kicking ass on that bass. From one musician to another; thanks for being the teacher we all needed.

Man I've been studying with you for about a month now and wow!!!!! You are in top of it. My only regret is not having these resources as a kid. I'm 42 now, and find it saving a lot of time you taking the grunt work out of learning songs. I'm a decent player but just don't have the time to figure everything out all the time, you definitely help the process out. Thanx for doing what you do and don't stop!!!! If you're still doing requests, I'd love to see "Girls Of Porn" bass tab by Mr. Bungle. Thanx again, you're 💯 AWESOME!!!! ❤️🙏🏼🎸✌🏼

Oh, so polite indeed Well, I got everything I need I'll make my days a breeze And take away my self-destruction It's bitter baby and it's very sweet Holy rollercoaster, but I'm on my feet Take me to the river, let me on your shore I'll be comin' back maybe, I'll be comin' back for more Doo-doo dingle zing a dong bone Ba-di ba-da ba-zumba crunga cong gone bad I could not forget, but I will not endeavor Simple pleasures are much better But I won't regret it never Where I go, I just don't know I got to, got to, gotta take it slow When I find my peace of mind I'm gonna give ya some of my good time Where I go, I just don't know I might end up somewhere in Mexico When I find my peace of mind I'm gonna keep ya for the end of time
