let's be honest now, who didn't end up crying like a baby in the middle of the day/night when they first heard Ayano's Theory of Hapiness (and a couple more times for good measure//shot)? The song is brilliant, pretty much audio-fied melancholy/nostalgia/bittersweetness, never fails to hit me hard, especially Yumeko's cover ;~;

God you made me cry again ! To be perfectly honest, this song is the reason why, today, I'm trying my best to be kind to others and give them a bit of happiness... I've bottled up a depression for years now and I just feel selfish to talk about it, like I'm an attention seeker or something. So all this time, I just stayed in a corner, thinking that if nobody saw the pitiful girl that I was, they would forget that I exist and never ask about it. But, when I heard this song, I wanted to be there for others... Ayano is an admirable person and quickly became my role model. I understood that if I just stayed in a corner, making myself as little as possible, I wouldn't be ok and people around me either. I then focused my attention at being nicer to people, learning how to make jokes to cheer them up, learn to listen to their problems and try to give some advice and comfort, help others in their tasks... It's way easier than just staring at someone to make them know you just want to be alone... I do not say that I'm out of depression. Being nice like this to everyone, just wanting their happiness made everybody thing that I'm just this bubbly happy girl that's here for you in moments of need when it's just the part I want to show to the world. It made me feel even worse, people wouldn't understand and I would blame them when, well, I was the one to blame. Now I'm a little lost between all this, asking myself who I really am in the end. The happy girl all my friends like (and sometimes are annoyed with how obnoxious and noisy she is) or just a lonely shy girl nobody ever heard of except my friends from before highschool. But I'll find eventually and I'm sure that that day, I'll enjoy this song even more. I don't want to be a hero, never claimed I was and never will, but I really believe that if you share some kindness with someone, you can bring the best out of them to show to the world. And that's beautiful.

I have underwent something quite similar. That dichotomy between an outward amicable persona and a self deprecating inner one is a hard thing to tassel with. I'm happy that you are hopeful though, and wish everything will eventually work itself out pal.
@owleeve20986 жыл бұрын
Thank you ! Well, putting a mask on seemed a good idea at the time. Now I'm finally trying to open up to some friends with similar issues. I do have hope because, I know that it's useless to just weep in my room, wondering how to just end it. If I don't like myself, why not try to be useful to others ? Anyway, I'm glad to see people I can relate to and who lived past it, really, it gives hope. I'm sure that with time I'll learn to love myself like I love the others and maybe finally living through true happiness and not this bittersweet feeling I have when I'm meant to feel joy. I wish you a wonderful day and continue with your videos and essay, really, it's inspirational and it shares powerful positive messages in my opinion !

Gosh, and even after Manga Route 2 Ayano... She is still my favorite fictional character! It was interesting to see a more jaded Ayano there, and I did wonder if in other (unwritten) routes, a very practical and jaded Ayano can use her eye power to project intense memories and negative thoughts to inflict mental harm... I'm actually glad that she never did that to Mary.

I love this video you put it well together and everything! this is the exact reason why i love ayano and her character so much! you point out the reasons why she is also one of my favorite fictional characters! And it just made it more powerful that she lived through the anime and was back from the haze (and also shinaya ship but mostly the other reasons) and maybe the light novel (havent gotten the new one yet) this is also all the reasons you pointed out why she is so great and why she is both of our waifu's! This is a great video and you express your thought and mine as well keep up the good work! :-) cant wait intill your next master piece! :-)

Even with nothing but a surface-level knowledge of KagePro, this video had me in tears before I even got half way. The simple philosophy of being a good person because it's the right thing holds such power, especially in contrast to the grand scheme of the whole story and of life in general. It's a character trope that is so often cast aside for the sake of creating a sense of grandeur, which is why I'm so happy to see someone else who resonates so strongly with the message. If you like characters like Ayano, I really recommend Bess Sonozaki's video essay on why Mion Sonozaki is her favorite character. I feel like you would enjoy it immensely. (This is ohhh a couple years late but here's to hoping you see it because that video is truly wonderful in the same way this one is. I can just hear the love in your voice as you speak.)

My best friend and I met 5 years ago and we bounded through the Kagerou Project back then. Everything about it made us happy and cry so much and by this we grew closer and closer and helped both of us to cope with dark times. Not only do I love the story and its storytelling over multiple medias, but I value it as a memory of those days with my best friend and how much he means to me and helps me to keep going. And this is why Kagerou Project will not only be a favorite series for a while, but a series which I will remember my whole life most likely. Thank you for all your videos on it, keeping the fandom and theories alive with updates and summaries and I hope you can always look forward to whatever happens in your life.

I've come to this as kind of a last resort :,). I can't find any useful sources about how Ayano saved Haruka/Konoha and Takane by dying. I understand that she gained an eye ability, but how was she able to do that if she did not use it as a "surrogate life" in the real world? I understand the concept that 3 people died on that day, the character I just mentioned, but I can't wrap my head around who is and who isn't in the haze, if Konoha is Haruka or Haruka is in the Haze, if Ayano is in the Haze (And how her planned stopped the snake from forming with the Queen Snake in the real world). Can someone please help me?
@BreadBoxVideo6 жыл бұрын
Synogyn Hauka's mind is in the daze but his body is in the real world, that's why Konoha has amnesia. Ayano is in the daze completely. In order for the new medusa to form all of the snakes need to be in the real world. Ayano kills herself and goes to the daze and gets a snake, but since she doesn't go back to the real world the medusa can not be reborn, since all the snakes are not in the real world.
