I like the fact that Ian and Karl enter these shooting matches as a means to study and demonstrate the positives and negatives of the different equipment that they bring to the matches , rather than using the videos of the matches to simply display their shooting skills. This way the viewer learns something more than just that they are proficient with firearms. Also, they seem to value studying, learning, and improving more than simply winning a given match.

In fact I'm wondering so much I have a parts kit and a note pad of weird ideas.

Speed reload ! Clearly Karl, what you had in mind after the prep match for reloading faster worked pretty well ! :) How did Sinistral do with his "gamer" AK ?
@SinistralRifleman6 жыл бұрын
My AK was hardly gamer (the only gamer feature being the brake), compared to Galil Ace's and Some of the heavily modified AKs with 1-6x variables, adjustable gas systems, and extended handguards, and magwells. Not that I think most of that stuff mattered. The guy that won the match over all was using a $500 home built gun with a red dot and was also competing in Armored division. My Red Oktober video will be up on my channel soon.
@yop_cholo6 жыл бұрын
@@SinistralRifleman Ah, thank you for replying ! I had hoped using the quote marks would indicate clearly the irony in "gamer". The bizon use a stock bolt carrier with a fixed breech block welded in. The magazines are the only part you would have to source. Their are semi auto bizon's in Russia. So magazines should be available to import. Bizon magazines use the stock ak latch in the back, and have a lug on the handguard. So to convert a ak to a bizon you need to make the handguard, new fixed breech with extractor, and 9mm barrel. The rest is small changes like deleting the gas piston among other small changes. Green mountain has very cheap 9mm barrel blanks. You mite be able order a handguard with the magazines, And a small block of quality steel is cheap on eBay. As for the extractor build it with a cz scorpion one instead. So if you have a AK to convert. This is a simple gunsmithing project.

I'm surprised that you call the VZ.52/57 "pretty bad". From what I've learned it is very easy to disassemble and clean, comfortable to shoot, and has smart mechanical features. Sure it is obsolete compared to the AK type of gun... But compared to A G-43, SKS or even an M1 carbine I believe it matches-up.

Łukasz pokoju never compare any gun to the g-34 g-43 designs actually trash guns they are hella overgassed and used cast bolt carriers and bolts which are prone to well sometimes exploding straight up and actuator rods which are prone to snapping not to mention like most German guns are overly complex minus the roller delayed designs
