Hi there, thanks so much for all these videos. They are so useful. I have just got back from 2-weeks in Costa Rica surfing a 8’11” Gerry Lopez Lil Darling 126ltrs - I loved it and I'm finally surfing the green properly! I have now returned to the UK and want to buy a Hardboard (as I feel I have progressed beyond my Starboard Converse Inflatable!). I am either going to buy a Starboard Widepoint 8'2" x 32" or a 8'5″ x 30″ Pocket Rocket. Are you able to request boards from Starboard and compare and contrast? Your 8' 10" Widepoint video got my focused on the Widepoint but I wonder how the little quad fin compares. I also don't think you've done a Pocket Rocket one? Would equally be happy just to receive your general views... I'm 70kg 5ft 9. The use will be Cornwall & Devon. Huge thanks in advance!!

I’m looking to buy either the Carbon 8’2”x32” Wide Point (125ltr) or the Carbon 8’5”x30” (131ltr) - if you can help that would be great. I just want to order one & live with it , rather than test each board. Please make the choice for me! :)

Hey Algy. New board time how exciting. Really good boards these 2, but I haven't used the new 8'5'' pocket this year. But the WP is a great range of boards. With your body weight you can ride ether and maybe the PR been 30'' wide could be a little easy for you with more overall glide... BUT the WP is a killer shape board and I feel it would out perform the PR for sure. Go for the WP 8'2'' you will catch loads of waves and it will take you SUP surfing right up to the advanced level. Hi supboarder, currently selling my hybrid kayak/sup perception hi life. I’m looking at changing and getting a red board. As I already have a separate kayak. Just wondering whether I should get a sport or a ride. As I am an intermediate paddler. Just not sure which one would be better for me, any ideas? Love your vids btw.

Hey , sure no worries. What sort of paddling do you want to do? If you are looking to paddle and maybe go explore a little or cover any sort of distance ( over 1 mile) I would really look towards the Sport boards. But if you want to paddle around have fun with other paddlers and not cover much distance I would look to the Ride range. What do you think ? Reuben / SUPboarder

We haven't used one but would like to, Im sure its the same good quality as the other Reds and would work well.
