It took us almost 3 months to tear down this 1965 Mercedes 280sl to repair its body and repaint it

Great to see that you kept the notches next to the headlights as filling them in is a sign of a poor restoration. BTW: The 280 SL was introduced in 1968, so either the year is wrong or it's a 230 SL

You are right, it's actually a 230sl

I would guess a rebadged 230SL - 1965, there are no headrests on the seats.

It is either not a 1965 or not a 280sl. I'm guessing its a 1968 or newer.

Sandra Monahu it's a 280sl alright, but newer like a 68. You are right

my gosh that is wavy please don't paint that S65 or S55 behind this car and ruin that one too
