As a PG fanboy, I approve of this drum cover to be one of the most legit PG cover vids ever. The cymbal choice is spot on, the fills, the feel and everything. The attention to details is absolutely mind-blowing. Thank you Carter.

So cool on so many dimensions. One dimension is no ghost notes on the snare drum. It seems ghost notes are a thing now. But just the snare downbeats with no ghost notes gives a powerful effect. And now for something completely different (Monty Python). I love playjng to this song and other PG songs. Carter i also love playing to a variety of Kate Bush songs (not just Running Up That Hill). Carter do you appreciate Kate Bush music? The drummers are great like you with, among other things, very creative cymbal work. Carter much of Kate's music is "simple". But her melodies and song structure leave a lot of room for creative interpretation and improvisation. I bet you would have a field day with a cover for many of her songs. Cheers. Bill.

I'm very curious what would be the result of recording drums with only one omnidirectional microphone like the Earthworks TC20 or a similar one placed between all drums. I know it isn't a very professional sounding idea, although I still hope it may provide surprisingly good and natural sound on a budget. I would be thankfull if you could test that.

I like it because it *doesn't* sound especially like Katche. He influenced all of us from this moment on. But you're still you here, which is a fine tribute: absorb the influence rather than being absorbed by it. At the risk of foolish comparison: kzbin.info/www/bejne/foKbaIaddtV5d5Y. It's a lovely drumless version of Red Rain by the band small is beautiful, which fits the addition of drums nicely. My Katche "tribute" is mostly in the placement of splashes. Incidentally, Katche's performance on Tracy Chapman's disc Matters of the Heart album is less well-known but well worth hearing. His choices on songs like I Used to Be a Sailor and Open Arms are superb.
