Best song of the 80's. Got run over by a pick up truck in '87. Spent sprin/summer in wheelchair. This was my theme song to my maniacal work outs. Took me 3 years to learn to walk again. Never looked back again

I like the fact that you call him Kenny because that's what Tom Cochrane called him. I'm delighted they've patched things up and Tom, Kenny, and Jeff Jones are back playing and touring again in 2024.

I remember running away from home to California in 1982. This song was a part of my recorded cassette and my Walkman. These Americans loved this song and Headpins. It was the same year Michael Jackson's song Beat it came out.

Back in my college days, I was student activity planner and signed these guys to play at three of our campuses. After their last show of three at different campuses, I went back to talk with them and Jeff Jones was lighting up a fat spliff of hash, oil, rolled with lamb's breath marijuana. A few of us smoked it and then got into a 30 minute discussion about their tunes. What an experience...I was completely wired and totally saturated by the surrealism of sitting with one of my favourite Canadian groups ever. Tom was busying himself with his guitars while the rest of us just shot the shit about the psychological depth of their masterpiece, "Neruda". I was absolutely wired and we all ended up going across the border to Quebec(Tom stayed in Ontario) and we ended up smoking some more of the same and since I knew the bar owner, he stayed open for us after closing the doors to everyone else. We just sat around drinking wobbly pops, smoking our faces off, and conversing until 8 a.m. That's the first time I learned that Jeff Jones actually started his music career as Rush's original bass player, although only for a short time.

Correct me if you already know this but the bassist is Jeff Jones. He played bass for a band called Rush. The reasons he quit are debatable but Geddy Lee took over before they released their first album.
