Hey guys, one note about the C70.... Now, in the video, you're talking about CLog 3 + a LUT. I'm assuming this means you're recording in CLog, but applying a LUT in camera before you send to SDI? So, that the livestream doesn't have a flat image. If that's the workflow, then I don't think a C70 can do that, unless Canon brings out a firmware upgrade. I think if you're recording log, you're stuck with outputting.... via HDMI.... a log image also.

Awesome video as always, Jake I would love to make two suggestions: 1. Any chance you can make a video or point to a quick and dirty glossary on video or camera equipment. Describing the C200’s bells and whistles was awesome... but I was still trying to figure out what the heck was a “Tally”... lol! 2. I would love to understand how Red Rocks or any of the churches with video/livestream setups onboard or train volunteers? Are the people behind the cameras already professionals or are they volunteers that are trained. If trained- formal video program or just tutorials? Finding volunteers for A/V in a small church can be pretty challenging. As we incorporate better elements into our service experience, we are trying to figure out how to onboard the volunteer staff successfully. Thanks

A tally is basically a system or a light that tells you that a certain camera is currently in the program mode or in a live mode. It tells the person in front of the camera that the camera is outputing the program/live output of the show. Basically in summary, they have cameras feeding wirelessly (TERADEK, Wireless Feed) into a switcher (ROSS). Then the switcher itself switches from different camera feeds with tally... So in a real world scenario when I switch to let's say CAM 1 and take it into the program view. The tally light will appear letting the person in front know that the camera is Live On them. Generally speaking all the cameras are ON. The term Live is just a quick term letting people know that the program output is on that camera. In a switcher there is a Preview/Program. Program is the Main output (Feeding into the livestream or any other sources.) If you are interested, there's a bunch of free resources out there regarding this. But if you have money to spend then I guess, join the streaming course that Jake has suggested.

Looking to mount the camera to the wall at the back of the hall (approx 50m from stage), it won't be very low light, house lights are always on and stage is well lit. Its called variable frame rate, the video system is clocking at 60fps but the camera is basically choosing to “see” 23.98, 29.97, or 59.94 Frames. So it’s cool because you can switch frame rates in a moment without having to switch over the frame rates on all video equipment
