Awesome review. I just got mines at Walmart before the end of the year. For over $30 can't go wrong. It's worth buying and Walmart's common item. It's screen accurate. A Christmas Story turns 40. R.I.P to Melinda Dillon she passed many months ago.

Nice table top! I just picked one up at walmart hear in Michigan! I own 2 Red Ryders a buck, and Marlin Classic. The Red Ryder is by far my favorite probably because it was my first gun at 8yrs of age and I am 44 today! I shoot mine all the time. When my son gets older he will as well. The ultimate basement and back yard plinker!!!!! Nice review my man!

Did you note any changes compared other year models. Since it has been 40 years since the release of "A Christmas Story", they should have done something extra for not a lot of extra cost . They do offer an commentative Red Ryder through the Daisy Museum for 80 bucks Thanks for the great content.

I haven't noticed any differences across the recent "Christmas Wish" Models. I agree, I wish they would have added something extra.

It would be nice if they engraved the year in the stock or forearm for each year. I don’t know you can probably use the serial number. I just wished it was grave in the wood without having to decipher the serial number. Got my first Christmas wish last year going to pick up another one this year, great review by the way, walnut and steel sent me your way👍🇺🇸🏁

Is the Christmas edition a full size? The Red Ryder I have is called the Adult size, I don't know much about these and was wondering if there are different sizes

This (Christmas Wish) is a standard sized Red Ryder. I have an Adult Size scheduled for release next week. Technically an Adult Red Ryder is exactly the same as a standard Red Ryder but with the addition of an oversized rear stock. I wish they would have lengthened the barrel on the Adult.. Hello Daisy Collector ! I just bought a Red Ryder at an antique store , I don’t think it’s too old as it was made in China! But wonder how to tell the year of mfg ? Also got a little wood box with bb’s in it in tubes , box is the 100th anniversary one.

From my knowledge Daisy started roll stamping "Made In China" in 2006. As for that little box, it's a treasure to collectors. All of the commemorative stuff is quickly becoming collectors items. If I can find current production date codes, I'll make a video on it. 👍 Thanks for watching.

Its not horrible.. A little rare, but I have seen my share. Never gotten anything broken, or destroyed. Mostly all cosmetic little scratches or dings. I never sweat it for the price that's paid, but I could do without it..
