I can't decide between the E-170 or the new max nano xl. I would keep the E-170 as an AIO without the sump upgrade. But I like the nano xl because it's new on the market. But other than the size difference between both. Would you say the sump configuration built in the back of both tanks is similar to each other? Would it be fair to say the E-170 is just another bigger version of ths nano xl? Does the E-170 have the exrta silicone on the seams?

If you are still thinking about this, I would go for the nano xl. The AIO system has better QoL features.

its doesn't make sense to not ship with a lid, my nano 20 i had to get a sheet of glass to cover the main, my corals and fish all do fine, it really helps with evaporation.

I appreciate some of the features, but for the cost the lack of company accountability and lousy service are just not worth it. Won’t be purchasing any RedSea systems anytime soon.

I’ve had two Red Sea Reefer 350s and both have had seam failures. Currently working with a law firm to bring forth a class-action lawsuit on behalf of all Red Sea owners.

To be honest this is all I read everyday when it comes to RedSea tanks, but it's probably happening mostly with older models.

Will never buy Red Sea ever again - they cut too many corners as it’s a far cry of its early tanks plus their customer support is atrocious …go Waterbox instead
