Does the goose neck itself turn from the base. In other words can you angle it ? I have two hob filters that would not make the gooseneck center so I would have to angle the neck to get the lights center

Are the auxilary kessil cables called the "daisy chain" cable?

That I am not sure. I ended up buy normal aux cables from Target. They work just the same and cost well less than what Kessil charges. I believe the daisy chain is when you want to link multiple lights to the same channel on the controller. If you only have 2 lights, you wouldn't need the daisy chain, you would just need 2 regular aux cables.

Donald White they say it will do up to 24inch spread so one will be fine for up to a 29gal nano cube. Might not be enough for some harder SPS though

Donald White yes, that will be plenty of light for the tank. the 160 does a 2ft by 2ft area

Yes it will be just fine. Remember the higher up the light is the wider area it will cover. Depending on the intensity your corals require

The controller only has 2 ports. What you can do is loop lights together, though they will all be on the same schedule as the one it is looped to. You would cable one light to the controller, then from the output of that same light, you can cable it to the input of another light. Not sure how many you can loop together, but I'm sure you could do at least 4.

what exactly is firmware. I think it is some kind of update. Does it have to be dealt with often or just once? nice video keep them coming

basically just a software update for the unit, haven't had to update it yet and I don't think this is a device that will require a ton of updates

I have do not have any corals in my tank at the moment, but I have seen other people using these lights and similar tank sizes have success.
