Beautiful reef. Love all the open area for fish. The Euphyllia side adds a nice contrast to the sps side.

wow, how did you keep it so stable in those early months?
@YasFansa
@YasFansa 9 ай бұрын
I cycled the tank for 3 months without LED lighting, only adding fish before introducing the light and adding corals. I cleaned the sand during every water change (if it was dirty) and kept nutrient levels in check. However, after making this video, I had to deal with turf algae and some dinoflagellates. Unfortunately, it doesn't always stay clean. I'm currently working on a new video about how I deal with these issues once I have them under control

Thanks. I might make a video about that. In short, I can tell you I feed the tank once a day with frozen food. I don't do a lot of water changes because I have a skimmer and a roll filter. I clean the tank once a week.

I just feed the fish frozen food. I use Red Sea Reef Energy Plus AB+ from time to time just when the nutrition is low.

I was just curious, what levels you keep your nitrates and magnesium? Also what type of salt do you use? Amazing job keep up the great work!
@YasFansa
@YasFansa 7 ай бұрын
Thanks, Nitrate levels were between 5 and 10 ppm. Phosphate was actually 0 ppm for the first year. I was trying to raise it, and now I have it under 0.1 ppm. Alkalinity was around 8.5 dKH. I did not test for magnesium and other parameters. I was using Tropic Marin Pro salt, but now I have switched to Fauna Marin Professional salt.

@@YasFansa thanks for the info. I think I've been using the wrong salt for a while. I was using Red Sea pro in a 30 gallon. Unfortunately it was keeping my alk around 12.5 mag 1350. I switched to a new salt (alk 9) and supplement mag to 1500 and I'm finally having some luck with my LPS.

Wow, nice tank! How can you keep the sand such clean? Especially the dinoflagellates?
@YasFansa
@YasFansa 11 ай бұрын
Thanks. The sand didn't really get that dirty in the first year, but now, after one year and almost zero phosphate for a long time, I'm dealing with dinoflagellates. I might make a video about that after I get it under control. It is REALLY frustrating.

Hey I just wanted to say what an amazing tank really good job well done.I am getting this tanks and I just want to ask you if you could please send a list of coral and fish that are in this tank because I would like to get the exact same setup
@YasFansa
@YasFansa 2 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! I’m really glad you like the tank. 😊 For the fish and coral list, I actually have a couple of videos on my channel that go into detail about the exact species I have in this setup. I’ve got one video that covers the complete fish list and another one that goes into all the corals, so you can check those out for the exact details. I’ll add links to both videos in the description to make it easy for you to find. Thanks again for watching, and good luck with your tank setup! 🐠🌊 Coral Showcase: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHSWY5imopxoqrc Fish Showcase: kzbin.info/www/bejne/inTSiKprf7F0gNE

Is it the one with a white tail? It’s a Bristletooth Tomini Tang, one of the smallest Tangs. It’s ideal for a 90-gallon tank.

Thank you so much! 😊 I feed the fish once a day and maintain good filters, which is why I don't perform water changes frequently. I typically do about a 10% water change every month to ensure the overall health and balance of the aquarium.🪸

how do u prevent the fish from eating the coral?
@YasFansa
@YasFansa Жыл бұрын
Well, the majority of fish I keep in the tank are reef safe or reef safe with caution. The Valentini puffer is the only exception, as it might sometimes nip at SPS corals. In my case, it didn't. I wouldn't add that fish to an SPS frag tank, and it's important to keep the fish well-fed to prevent such behavior.
