A hose clamp...there's an idea. I have always used silicone aquarium sealant. My way makes maintenance terrible, will try yours lol

Looks like an easy setup. When you screwed in the last drain pipe, what was the square piece on the drain pipe? Do you sell these aquariums?

+aManUnderGrace The square piece on the drain pipe was a valve that allows you to reduce the flow of the drain slightly in order to get it super quiet. We do sell the Red Sea Reefer aquariums locally but do not ship them.

Hi. I have a new Red Sea Reefer 170 and a Sicce Silent 3.0 return pump. My problem is that the hose that came with the tank does not attach to the pump. The hose to too small for the nozzle on the pump. Do you have any recommendations???

dear friend, q1: when chosing a chiller, do i Calculate the total amount of the sump and tank or only tank? my tank volume: 550 gallon my sump 250 gallon so when i consider a chiller ill chose one suitable for 800 gallon or more? or should i calculate the amount of return water like: 800 x 6 = 4800 gallon? so ill chose one for 4800 gallon and above? which number should i go with? I'm confused a bit here 800 gallon or 4800 gallon? thanks

this might be a dumb question but i was wondering if all the tubing and plumbing stuff comes with the aquarium when i buy it? My current setup is only 7 gallons so i dont use a sump.

+Taylor Namtolts ....Yes all the plumbing comes complete with the Red Sea Reefer, although it does not come with a pump for the return.

Return line could use a one way check valve,to prevent siphoning in the event of a pump fail,or power outage.

Hi Dave Can you help me decide between red sea 350 and xl425 What are your customers saying about the 350 ? Was it big enough or were they disappointed that they didn't go bigger to the XL425 ? I have been reef keeping for approx 5 years now and I know that bigger is generally better but the extra cost of the XL425 is significant for only a 3 inch width difference in the tank size I would appreciate your comments and advice Many thanks Sam BTW: I always enjoy your videos !
