The only way he get's the call up is if they have a bunch of injuries or they fall out of contention. It is so rare that a pitcher in such a short amount of time can be called up and make the type of impact to help with a playoff push. I think they should develop him for next year after Pivetta is gone and they are looking for young starters to help fill out the rotation. Still would be nice if he could be one of those rare stories, but highly unlikely.

Idk man I understand the statement but at the same time too sometimes all it takes is 1 adjustment to change everything. He doesn’t need to be as good as he can be but it also may not be incredibly beneficial to keep him in AAA for awhile. He needs to develop into the pitcher he can be in the bigs at some point

Wow, really cool interview!!! Thanks for that Corbin. Looks like both the Pirates and Redsox made out well on this trade. Looking forward to this guy becoming a big part of our pitching scheme for the future. In watching him pitch in a number of video's I have viewed I can tell he has the velocity and command at times to become a good one. I did like the movement that I saw on his pitches. Nice job, Corbin! It's always good to see how a new pitcher is adjusting to our farm system. The call ups will be on their way soon. We'll see what they think is the best use of those new resources. I think they will rest the starters and possibly the relievers.

Enjoyed the watch party …I have a feeling the mighty Quinn will be a huge pick up. Really interested in the velocity increase methodology..I pitched in college and velocity increase was like a unicorn at that time.

It’s incredibly interesting arm slots, leg mechanics its all linked and if utilized can make a pitcher a whole lot faster

Regardless of the 2024 Red Sox performance and acquisition’s, ownership must invest in pitching fr the 2025 season. I want to see at least one bonafide starter either through free agency or trade. Second is acquiring a closer and several reliable relievers. I know, easier said than done, injuries and such derailed the season but they managed to entertain and play meaningful games in August, hopefully September. Overall, I think if they use their resources correctly they can compete for the division title and playoffs . Thanks for the reports Corbin!

Yeah ownership is going to have to focus almost solely on pitching

I'm not sure about that anymore. Pitching is at a premium. Overpaying veterans is hit or miss. More often than not teams get burned. We have a good core in place with Houck, Crawford and Bello. Priester, Fitts, Sandlin, Dobbins, Coffey, Valera, Monegro all have upside - and I think Monegro is a potential breakout star. Giolito will be back. There's enough talent in house for Bailey and gang to work with and win. Money should go towards locking up the core.

Time will tell if he can be a mid-rotation starter. For 2025 I suspect he will be taking on the role that Criswell did this year. Depth at Worcester. Unfortunately for us Criswell will be out of minor league options. Not clear if the Sox plan to resign him.

No I dont agree that Priester is the best they picked up. He is a complete unknown to Major League Baseball. They didn't pick up anyone that was very much. The pitching is terrible other than Chris Martin. They suck and you must know it.
