Bought a day at this hide for the Wifes birthday, she loved it, absolutley amazing place, Paul was very patient in helping us setup our cameras for the squirrel jumps, the hides he has are very well kept, the reflection pool is another level, the squirells have a lot of trust in Paul he looks after them well, so when in the hides you get an awesome display from the squirrels A big thank you Paul

Have just visited the red squirrel hides bought as a birthday present - was the best one ever! We saw squirrels all day long - the jumping squirrels were fascinating, both hides were a hive of activity, the reflection pool was another level - seeing the squirrels 'swim' for nuts was just brilliant. We have so many amazing photos. Paul was an excellent host full of northern banter 😊. The squirrels are well looked after in their natural environment. Great job Paul. Thoroughly recommend. (Don't forget your wellies though!!).

I have just spent 2 fantastic days using Paul's hides photographing red squirrels. Paul is really helpful and knowledgeable as well as being a really nice guy. His hides are superb allowing really close views of red squirrels and woodland birds - an amazing experience. I had the privilege to go when there was thick snow on the ground which resulted in some great images - an added bonus and I will just have to go back when the reflection pool isn't covered in snow!!

As a mainly wildlife photographer myself I own and run Going Digital Yorkshire which is a business teaching photography from beginners to more experienced clients. I came across Paul and the Red Squirrel Hide several years ago when I was wanting to photograph Red Squirrels for myself and now I regularly run photography workshops at the hides. It is a fabulous location and Paul is always so welcoming. I also recommend his book my my clients (A Year with Nature) in which he showcases the magnificent diversity of the British Isles' wildlife, with hints and tips on how and where to photograph various species.
