And it is Les's self indulgence that we have all grown to know and love. I've been listening to the man since '93. He hasn't ever let me down artistically, creatively, and musically. He may not be a classically trained François Rabbath, however, but his lyrical adeptness and his storytelling skills mingled with his bass wizardry and sheer creativity make up for it and have kept me coming back year after year.

ThNk u. I remember showing some ppl primus back in middle school and this chick saying u need to listen to real music cuz this isn’t.... knowing this was the days of Ricky Martin Britney *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys... which she loved of course in 5th grade what girl didn’t but still Fu for not having a sense of diversity or for me something relatable to my life but more so my head. I was actually given pork soda by my teacher who would drive me home since we were neighbors and she was a wild child for a middle school teacher but bless her heart for being the coolest person ever . Ms witworth.... not related but no one knew I was close to my teacher as a family friend. Has anyone called a teacher by first name in class? Her eyes got so big and nervousness was pouring out of her

Just because they say that it's not a song in the lyrics doesn't mean that it isn't a song. It still meets the definition. It is a composition (that is, some things arranged in a given space of time) and it has singing in it. That's pretty much it. Just because someone doesn't like something doesn't make it "not art" or "not a song." I think this is about as far as I'm going to go to try and explain this.

@b phillip doesn't really tie in. Very different music very different musicians very different technique. Listen to les playing it's completly different. It's like he has a different style for each project.
@Homanjer4 жыл бұрын
@b phillip yes it is but that's not a reason to say that they tie into eachother for me. They have factually nothing really to do with eachother. Different to a point where most of his side projects are completly different genres. Also Primus is heavily based on experience that Les and Ler have together. Ler takes a huge influence in the Primus style while les himself described some of his side projects as his specific ideas that he simply needed people to perform. And alot of cover work aswell.
