Since Robert used to be a funk-ish bassist and Les Claypool once auditioned for Metallica, I'd say this masterpiece was bound to come one day.

Much respect to Robert for making the Jaco documentary and buying Jaco's Bass of Doom and letting Jaco's kids use the bass. Glad to see Les Claypool collaborating with him. More bassists should he deserves to be among the top bass players. Plus Robert's son is one hell of a child prodigy on bass. Very happy to see Robert and his son succeed and be respected. Much deserved

Yah I mean I'm grateful for all there albums from 88-1999 period, especially suck on this/frizzle fry/seas of cheese/Pork soda/Tales from the punchbowl, and the what was it animals one which had Tim Alexanders return as well, the Brown album and Antipop with Brain were I mean still amazing but Alexander albums were so so much better ,but there last 2 official albums I just didn't like much at all seemed way more like one of his typical side gigs then an actual primus album, I wish they'd make a legit classical 90s style primus album with the original 3 members again ya know, but its ok whacha gonna do. There all still awesome regardless.

I think the big rule is they can't put their name on it or some bullshit. At the time that debate was had was when Jason Newstead wanted to start a second band and they didn't want that and Jason called James on his little stint in south Park movie. So I think the deal is they can play collabs with other people but no actual second bands. I may be full of shit though I haven't read that stuff in a while
