Heyo! Art history nerd here, feel my rhythm is heavily inspired by the garden of earthly delights, a series of paintings by Bosch! The paintings themselves are depictions of creation of Adam and Eve, their fall into sin and the earth consumed by pleasures, and the eventual fall into hell. The strawberries throughout the series is depictions of death through temptation and then a resurrection. A lot of the more “creepier” costumes are nods to the monsters of hell in bosch’s last painting. There’s also quite a few other artworks referenced including, madame Monet and her son, the spy by philippoteaux, the swing by Jean-honoré Fragonard, Ophelia by Millais, and la cueillette des Lois by pissarro. There’s a few other refs as well, but they’re smaller one offs that I won’t bore ya w too much! But sm care was taken for this me and it’s rlly cool to see creative direction taken so srsly. Rlly recommend checking out a couple of the pieces too, makes the me make a little more sense lol. Love your reactions tho, always love to see them!

About Feel my rhythm MV: It sampled Johann Sebastian Bach's "Air on the G String From Suite No. 3" throughout the song and the MV contains a lot of Art references that goes from Rococo, Impressionism, Renaissance, Surrealism and others. The most represented painting in the MV is the Garden of Earthly Delights from Hieronymus Bosch (you can see that painting referenced in almost all set pieces, like the flower, the "nest" structure, the berry etc). Other painting references you see in the MV are: - Irene in the swing: The swing by Jean Honoré Fragonard - Joy lying on water: Ophelia by John Everett Millais - Wendy & Yeri looking at Joy in the water: Nymphs Finding the head of Orpheus by Waterhouse - Seulgi standing on the ladder: Lady looking behind the walls by Paul Dominique - They picking up flowers in the garden: Gather Ye Rosebuds While Ye May by Waterhouse - Irene with Umbrella next to Seulgi: Woman with a Parasol by Monet

Red velvet feel my rhythm album is amazing all the songs are a classic. Fun Fact Feel My Rhythm was actually my first ever kpop song. Love Cosmic looks to be good as well.

So, it isn't just a sample of Air on G String by Bach. They used the main melody (chorus if you will) as well as the B section (2nd verse if you will), did it in baroque tuning (so it's in around d flat major instead of D major bc at the time of bach, music was tuned slightly down about a half step), AND they released this song on Bach's birthday.

"The ReVe Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm" mini-album is one of Red Velvet's best. From the title track through all the B-sides, all are a pleasure to listen to. I've enjoyed your RV reactions, keep up the good work!

Reve festival series are just top notch well crafted cohesive albums. Although fans complained about how long they dragged out the series but they maintained the quality both visually and musically. You have to check out the rest for sure.

Wendy absolutely owned this album! Her rapping was insane and vocals were top notch throughout! She also danced amazingly during FMR dance practice. I still am shocked that people don't appreciate her dancing more 😂😂😂
