What I got from the MV: The girls are celebrating Yeri's bday as best as they can while being locked in the basement. Yeri makes a wish as she blows out the candle (wishing that they can be freed?) and the something breaks the lock to the door. Wendy goes upstairs even though the others are uneasy about it. Later when the other four go upstairs, they see a mess on the floor, a dead body? (offscreen) and we learn that Wendy protected the others by offing the person who locked them away. They clean up but are shaken by the event. Eventually they decide to destroy the evidence by burning the house down. Someone theorized that they were wearing childish clothes at the end because they were abducted when they were kids.

The fireworks were because they were happy for RV comeback! Fr though, what I got ffrom the music video (could be wrong) while celebrating Yeri's birthday, and trying to be quiet, they heard a noise and Wendy went out the door to see what was going on. Later, the other members leave the room to find the house in a mess. Realizing what happened, Joy has a panic attack (then the viewer gets to see what happened) because Wendy killed someone. The other members help her clean up the evidence, but later, Joy wants to leave the house with the murder weapon and Seulgi and her argue over what to do. Everyone is struggling with what happened, so they decide to leave and burn the house down. As for the person that was killed, maybe he was holding them hostage? Someone was originally filming the girls (as seen by the old video playing on the tv) before Joy started taking over filming them so maybe it was him who filmed them?

i was thinking the same! plus in the beginning scenes where they were arranging furniture, i think that the man keeping them hostage regularly made them perform for him. that's why seulgi put a chair in the middle before they get into position. maybe that specific scene happened after his murder (hence the empty chair) when they were still struggling to cope and were going through the motions of what they usually did before the incident.

CHILL KILL idk men, the more you listen to it the more how beautiful the song on it!!!... Chill kill is a bit DISNEY drama OST!!(yknow DISNEY magic/thriller series dramas) , the fact that its mix of Dark and BRIGHT music with vocals is REALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL!.. also the vibes of it is also LITTLE MIX!!! I've watched the MV more than 2 times now, and here are my theories: 1. They're sisters living with a toxic relative/parent, bcs i often seen them doing their own thing in the storage room. 2. The relative/parent always watches them, so they prepare a seat for him to observe. 3. Due to their hatred, Wendy murders the relative/parent, and the others cover up her crime. 4. In the process, Joy and Yeri (along with Wendy) seem to have panic attacks or feel guilt over the murder. 5. At the end, they accept the situation, leave, and burn the evidence to hide their crimes. Regarding the songs, the first part gives the vibe of they're living in a nightmare they can't escape. After Wendy's action, the chorus feels like acceptance of their situation with the phrase 'don't think about tomorrow,' indicating they'll manage the situation without anyone knowing. The song might represent their progression through the five stages of grief(?).

I just love how they balanced RED AND VELVET perfectly in the mv and music. I think the mv the kidnapper was the dude and looks like they were trapped and wendy was the one who commit murder in order to help them escape and we see the girls cleaning up and hiding the evidence and eventually burned the house down with their talent and the cops couldnt handle their awesomeness they had to put them away💯💅✨👑🔥

Red Velvet is always known for their duality concept. Red is their girly, happy, summer vibe (Red Flavor, Queendom, Zimzalabim) while their Velvet is the more mature and darker theme (Peek-A-Boo, Bad Boy, Psycho). But THIS, this one is finally the one where i can see their two concepts merging. This is probably their first Red Velvet song.

I think what makes the happy chorus scary is that they keep showing us scenes of them trying to hide a murder and in less than 5 seconds they are already smiling like nothing has happened lol This song is like Red Velvet itself, while Dumb Dumb is Red and Peek A Boo is Velvet I also like how this song has lots of change ups since they usually only do it in the bridge... That man is father role in this video (seulgi said it officially in live stream) who does domestic violence to 5 daughters (red velvet members). Wendy kill him and all sisters try to conceal their murder, but because of their guilt, (joy was going to self-surrender by taking the rock thing wendy used to kill their dad, but seulgi found her and stop her. That's why two of them were arguing. ) they just burn all the house were they have been lived and Try to run away. But they got arrested.

from what i’ve gathered, i think wendy murdered someone like a brother/guardian or some father figure in their lives and they all covered it up. joy was ridden with guilt and was going to turn in the evidence, but seulgi stopped her. meanwhile yeri was probably watching something emotionally damaging on tv, which is why irene, who was going to comfort her with food, pulled the plug. but when yeri tried to argue, irene hugged her. slowly but surely they found their harmony again and started dancing around again like nothing ever happened. but unfortunately they got caught, and the last thing they knew they had to do before going out was dance because it’s what made them happiest.
