Theory: They were his slaves, kept in some abandoned house. The clip begins with their performance for him (the kidnapper), in the center of His Majesty's chair, they entertain him. Wendy killed him. They had panic, Joy had Stockholm syndrome. You can see by her reaction. Irene brought food to their "rooms", on a tray as a prisoner in the closed room where they used to live.. They gathered their strength and decided to burn down the house with him and hide the crime. You can see them riding on the bus and all in different clothes. This is the clothes in which he kidnapped them, they were able to be themselves again, someone is a schoolgirl, someone is a goth, etc. They ran away, but the fire attracted attention, the police were called and they were detained. They decided to give up and stay together.. They are being detained. And the song is joyful, because it means that they are free. And by the sad and doomed expression on Irene's face at the end, you can think that it is she, as the oldest and leader, who will take responsibility for the crime. English is not my native language.

Hmm, the only thing I know is that this mv is giving me major "The Tale of Two Sisters" vibes- it's a very famous korean horror/ psychological drama, you should definitely check it out if you haven't!

That man is father role in this video (seulgi said it officially in live stream) who does domestic violence to 5 daughters (red velvet members). Wendy kill him and all sisters try to conceal their murder, but because of their guilt, (joy was going to self-surrender by taking the rock thing wendy used to kill their dad, but seulgi found her and stop her. That's why two of them were arguing. ) they just burn all the house were they have been lived and Try to run away. But they got arrested.

i have 2 theories: 1. They killed someone in the real life so in their mind, they started to disiociate it and as result we have the reve festival (you can se a lot of reference to that, evenmore, the fact that wndy is the killer explains why she have crows in her eyes and irene is trying to hold on everithing just like the in video, and i see references to bad boy too pointing that) 2. the trailer suggest that they are landing into nightmares and wendy is the one who is aware of that so she is the one who "kill" the nightmare and set them all free. update: The murder was planned by yeri and wendy, you can see in the mood sampler how yeri manipulates a butterfly, in the video we see irene wearing thos butterfly wings, besides we se the suspicious vibe between wendy an yery at the end, while the rest makes the work for them. WenYeri team up is canon. update 2: In the same trailer you see Irene alone with Yeri, doing soemthing in her head. Does Irene put the idea on Yeri's Head? a wish maybe? Is irene, once again the mastermind of all events? and more important, is she aware of the wenYeri side and manipulates them too?

don't worry DG i made the exact same mistake yesterday with you're Aepsa Drama reactiion . in half of you're reaction i was sure than Giselle was in Karina's side agains't Winter and Ning ning . but after the full reaction i realize than i made a mistake . this song is pretty cool too. i don't understand why SM drop a comeback for AESPA and RED VELVET during the same month with a similar concept ( not the same ) but a more dark concept . one group can step on a foot of the other i think they can wait the next month to drop Red Velvet comeback . anyway i'am happy to see another Velvet side songs they're alway's full of meaning and very cool and all girls are STUNNING Joy ,Seulgi and Yeri acting are very cool . Joy already play on some Drama but i want to see Seulgi and Yeri as well . Irene and Wendy are cool to but i see them more in some variety show Wendy is very funny and full of energy and Irene is really really funny despite herself . she's a bit like Jenny from blackpink .

MY personal theory is that they were kidnapped when they were young and raise by this men, with time they were growing up together like a "family" (sister at this point) BUT in Yeri's birthday (I'll asume) Wendy had a plan to kill the man and run away with the girls. But things didn't turn out the way she wanted, Because Joy and Yeri didn't want to leave the house (maybe because of fear or maybe cus they basically were raised there) But in the end they ended up leaving but in separate ways. Years later they reunited to well burn down the house, but while they were there they found they favorite items when they were youngest (Irene's wing, Joy's camera, Yeri's white thing¿, etc) After burning the house they finally feel free Then well...you can see what happens next- 👁️👁️ At the end i think they just realized that they're in BIG trouble but it doesn't matter cus they are together again (sorry bad english)

-The man in the picture...or was in the picture was their manager known to be strict with their diet before a comeback. -There is no blood in this MV. It was just D'Arbo Strawberry Fruit Spread. Wendy was caught dipping into it since she needed some sugar fix. It's a real mess to clean it up also as you can see. -They had to bury everything that had the strawberry stains on it. Otherwise they could not release the comeback on the promised date. -They were never arrested. Remember when Red Velvet got into that 5 member circle/pentagon formation, they summoned the giant bear with modern laser weaponry. The police had no chance of survival.
