What's crazy is that this was supposed to release in February. I'm actually kind of glad it didn't. Got everyone's attention with FMR and theeeen BAM! Wildside smacks you right in the face. 😂 RV is definitely on one right now and I'm absolutely here for it. Love those girls. 💕💕💕 I've seen a lot of reaction folks say this was their favorite between this and FMR. Real talk, I don't think CookieJar or Sappy had that kind of influence on folks. Yeah, people like those songs, but they definitely weren't "THIS RIGHT HERE IS MY SHIT!" levels of hype like they are with WS. That's crazy, man. I can't wait to see how the other 4 originals are going to be on the "Bloom" album.

Our best guess is that they signed one hell of a contract, cause their old contracts ran out some time in the past 12 months, and SM has never shelled out this amount of money on them before. Speaking of the song, while Wildside is definitely an international fan favourite, Feel My Rhythm was specifically aimed at the Korean market cause Red Velvet are trying to reinvent themselves as the spring queens, and that one fits the vibe more.

RV renewed their contracts right before Queendom, and something happened that had never happened to the group before... They started selling a TON of albums. Red Velvet's album sales were already respectable, but not immense. Queendom went platinum in Korea without even breaking a sweat, which NOBODY expected it to do. Some people were saying it was because of the long hiatus, but FMR proved that theory wrong. FMR sold half a million copies before it even hit the store shelves. When you suddenly start making SM WAY more money that they expect to, they become way more inclined to invest in you.

Man, no one does bsides like RV, for real. I love everything they do, but I definitely gravitate more to their Velvet side...the smooth, sexy, r&b, 'wildside' if you will lmao. And man, everyone is beautiful in this video, but Seulgi owns this era. Well...Joy and Seulgi. I'm so glad they're giving more props to Yeri and Irene's vocals, but everyone is just in their bag. Now for past 2 years SM has been treating RV really bad like they did to their older groups now they only focus on their new girl group and that makes me sad , it's been 10 years! The only good thing is thing is that SM is giving Irene a solo debut mini album after 10 years of her debut, but if they mess it up or not promote or have good production than it will cost Irene's reputation more rather than SM and I'm already stressed about her solo, i hope sm gives her justice as she deserves
