i think i'll be listening to this one for a while, there's not a lot of red vox songs where the vocals do harmonies that aren't octaves so it was cool to hear them here
@BrokVoekler2 жыл бұрын
Hecker, PLEASE do a Red Vox cover PLZZZ. I know Vinny's vocals are obviously in a bit of different range than yours, but I'm certain that there is some sort of way that you could adapt one of the songs.
@collinslogan012 жыл бұрын
Yeah I love Vinny but I personally cant get into Red Vox for this very reason. However I think this song fucking rocks. A lot of the vocals are similar in style and performance and it’s very simple in my opinion. It’s definitely a stylistic choice.
@pettereik3367 Жыл бұрын
this track is CRIMMINALY underrated, the raw emotion and feel of this track is unrivaled. it really sounds like vinny is pouring his heart out on this track, and it makes me emotional and/or headbang every time the chorus comes. this track may have surpassed reno, or at least joined it as my favourite red vox songs. absolute banger job guys.
@awesomexify2 жыл бұрын
I think this song reflects Vinny a lot... what he's been through, what he's dealing with... it's such a good song. It feels important. All it makes feel is wanting vinny to heal in some way but I don't know exactly how or why specifically. But man, what a powerful song and accompanied visual.

Sometimes the most beautiful pieces are written when someone’s experiencing the most grief. The album reminds me a bit of Kerosene in its vulnerability and rawness. It’s a killer album overall!

I was ready for Middle of the Street to be my favorite track off the album when I was first listening to it, then this track came in with the sucker punch to the gut and gave me fucking chiiiiills. I could literally gas up how this song sounds all day, I fucking love it. But what GETS me is the way it's got such an iconic Red Vox tone. The way these lyrics paint this abstract artpiece about... I guess 'being the sum of the worst parts of yourself', is the best way I can think of to describe it? In the same way In The Garden hit really hard over running away from problems to let them spiral, Reno was about coming back to your vices, Hungry Ghost and Settle for Less about getting bitter about your creativity not going the way you wanted. These lyrics are out here fucking me up *bad* over how hard it can be to... I guess 'forgive yourself'. When everyone is putting you down, nobody's harder on you than yourself. Even when you know 'it gets better', it doesn't get any less hard. 'I know I'll find the upside, I know who I am on the inside' It's just so resonant and dark, and it's sung with such SOUL here. The lyrics are amazing, the drums are absolutely KILLING it, the mixing is spot on, I don't know how to describe it other than 'this song did everything I didn't know I wanted it to'. You guys did an incredible job all around.

After a lot of flip-flopping, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is my favorite song on the album (probably). It’s so raw, and I love the hints of optimism thrown in near the end. “I’ll be the one to get right, all on my own,” gets me every time.

Transcribed by ear, sorry ahead of time for any inevitable mistakes! Lyrics (possibly): I'll believe it when I see it I'll believe it when they put out the sun Why talk about it? Why walk around it? Just step inside until it's all said and done I know I'm on the outside wherever I go It's gone beyond a landslide I'd rather go home Go home Nice to meet you Nice to leave you Thanks for the memories, and thanks for the love There's an answer, out on the highway Looks to me like I should be only one My hopes, my soul, my dark side; primed to explode A void, a hole, a landmine Everyone knows They know. I know my faults, my downsides; more than you know I'll be the one to get right, all on my own I know I'm on the outside I know I'll find the upside I know who I am on the inside More than you know Wherever I go Wherever I go I'll know.

I hate to bring it up but based on these lyrics it seems like this song is about the whole failed attempt to slander vinnys name and character last year. It reminded me of his last stream before his hiatus after that document was released, where he talked about it. Especially "I know who I am on the inside" because I'm pretty sure he said that word for word on the stream and the rest of the lyrics could possibly pass as excerpts from that. Anyways, almost as perfect of a red vox song as you can get.

Red vox keep outdoing themselves. I hope they become more renowned, but not too much since fame and attention are mainly negative aspects. Just a band that does what they like, for people that like them. On some special occasions some smaller concerts and live performances would also bring joy to the audience, but still keeping a balance between working on a song and enjoying the song

I think this is Vinny's rebuttal against the "accusations" which weren't even serious from the get go. Either way, this feels like a retaliation against the "friends" who tried to set him up with a bunch of really badly forged evidence. However, I believe Vinny hasn't shown everything about himself to anyone, because I'm sure he prefers privacy. So, because of that, I'm very positive he was always innocent, because he wouldn't send "creeparonis" unironically.

Reminder that most if not all of this album was written around 2019-2020. The Yot himself said that he knew people would try to read into his music but that most of it was had already been written. Extra late reponse lol but I wanted to bring that up. This is a definite personal favorite.
