For those unaware, the album was delayed a bit because we made the decision to record a brand new song for inclusion on the album. It was written about a month ago and we decided it fit perfectly with the rest of the songs. We're taking our time, making sure the album is a good as it can be. Mixing is going slow, but the songs are sounding great. If a new idea happens during mixing, we'll grab a guitar or keyboard and try it out. Not having a record label or deadline means we can experiment and make the music better when we want to. That said, we're working hard to get this thing done; I think it'll be worth it. Stay tuned for more news twitter.com/redvoxband

This song is..kind of really sad actually. It really gives you that sense of overwhelming guilt when you put something off thats been eating at you and gnawing from the inside-something you really fucked up. And the more you push it away, the more you lie about it, the guilt only grows stronger and thicker like weeds in a garden. Thats what I like about Red Vox's songs; besides the Blood Bagel album, most songs have this very deep sense of the rather sketchy parts of grey morality, but it's never written in this pretensious, metaphorical prose-the way it's written is actually rather straightforward and gives it a sense of being genuine, gritty and down to earth. God, its great.

Yes! There are other members in the band that have contributed much to so many of our songs. Many people tend to focus on lead vocalist at first. To be fair, this song was very "Vinny" focused... written by, arranged by and played mostly by. There are other songs on the album that involve the other band members so much more.
@kyle_bearr7 жыл бұрын
That'll most likely be remedied when they do that one video interviewing (Is that the right word?) the band members It's kinda difficult to talk about people we know nothing about after all, but like I said, we'll know them soon enough

Lyrics: Made myself a little garden To grow myself my only friends Got myself a brand new start, and Oh no, I screwed it up again Guess I'm stayin' up all night, In my mind, but out of sight I'm to blame for this, I hide away, until, the day is due I will pay for this, But find a way to push the blame on you I won't run from this Hide away until the day is through Can't believe my eyes this mornin' I found a plot of weeds instead Yesterday was so adoring My god's so easy to offend I would rather fly than fight, Close my eyes and hang on tight Not to blame for this, I hide away, until, the day is due I'll run from this, Find a way to push the blame on you, Be all right tomorrow, Hide away until the day is through It's so simple, It's as easy as it can be Make a monster, Lock it up, throw away the key In the backyard, Buried deep underneath the tree There's a monster Taking root in the property In the garden, Where the weeds are now growin' free In the garden, Where my friends plot to bury me There's a jungle, It's as far as the eye can see Overgrown now, It's no longer a fantasy, But it's too late, By the time that I've realized, I can't see now 'cause the dirt is up to my eyes.

I hope your personal journey with this issue is going well. Been a long time Vinny and Red Vox fan and today I found myself listening to this amazing song after a long time and taking a minute to look for the meaning in it. I ended up seeing myself in the song as you probably did 6 years ago. Something I’ve learned is that it helps to find solace in the idea that other people are actively struggling with these kinds of things or have struggled in the past. That things will get better. The idea that no matter where you go, no matter what problems you may face in life, there will always be people that support you and empathize with you. Best wishes stranger

I'm the rare Mike stan in the fanbase. I love Red Vox and Vinny deserves all the love he gets for his work as an incredible musician and talented streamer, but can we get some love for Mike in the comments? I know this is a super old comment at this point, but I’ve just gotta say; Mike is such a great guy. I’ve been watching him live a lot more often ever since Vinny took a step back from streaming, and it’s been a great time. He’s seriously talented as a musician, and without his drumming Red Vox wouldn’t be what it is. Side note; I’m really happy for him, since he’s been doing really well on Twitch lately. I mean, he’s pulling anywhere from 1000 to 1500 viewers per stream these days! Great stuff.

This song is a great tale of anxiety and depression. It simply follows a person suffering from anxiety and anti-sociality, so decides to "Make his own friends", since he can't find the courage to make friends in the real world. Eventually, his anxieties and stresses catch up to him, and his problems collapse onto him, causing him to spiral down into an even greater state of depression. I see your message here, Vin. 10/10 lyrics, they're very well done.

I really connect with this song. I tend to be lazy with school; I flunked the seventh grade. Since then, I've become increasingly anxious and developed a crippling fear of failure. From that year onward, my school days could be summarized with the lyric "I hide away until the day is through". If I could survive the day without having a huge panic attack, I considered the day a success, never mind my school work. My fear of failure wasn't productive, I simply shut down and tried to ignore the feeling. Now that I'm regulating my anxiety with medicine, Ive been able to channel the self criticisms positively to do better in school. Anyways, this comment is a mess and I wrote more about myself here than most people would ever know about me but yeah, thank you for putting out this song, Red Vox. It's one of those songs that i can truly relate to.

Anyone still awestruck that an artist like Vincent is so interactive with his viewers when he streams? Even if you don't produce in the same genre, you can't help but wanna be in that kinda presence every now and then. And that's the kind of presence that his music projects through most of his tracks. An oldschool, down to earth rockstar making a living doing what he loves. I live for that shit. :)

I love songs like this, because they always leave so much to interpretation and the imagination. They have no clear meaning, and if they do they don't just blatantly tell you what it is, they let you come up with your own meaning. Some people in the comments take it literally and think this person has grown a monstrous plant creature in his garden... Some think the song is about society or social issues... Some think it's about war or violence... Some think its about the loss of loved ones... Me? I just think its fun to think about this stuff. Keep up the good shit Vinny.

The amount of development and different musical styles between Blood Bagel, a silly self-proclaimed joke EP, and the two songs from Another Light are joys to listen to. It's weird to watch/listen (to) him after all of that, I mean I'm sure most of the things they said are fake, but I have a shitty background with guys and now I hate to feel weird but I can't help it. Hope people stop doing this kinda shit unless it's actually abuse, y'know? They kinda push away real victims from coming out. It'll be very shitty if what they said is completely fake. I've watched vinesauce from age 14 to 21 and I don't want to stop because of this.

Thank god it’s false! Vinny is a good person and is to smart to do those horrible things.
@jaylenleu64033 жыл бұрын
@@Baran_Doban An account on Twitter posted a document accusing Vinny of being a sexual predator, but people picked apart the evidence and proved the accusation to be false very, very quickly. Don't worry, he's not actually guilty of any criminal activity, so if you still support Vinny you're not automatically a bad person.

Waiting for, 'What Could go Wrong' was the longest time ever, and so was 'Blood Bagel'. This is gonna take longer I feel... I hate time so much, but I'm excited.

okay, to be honest, I do get sappy every now and again in the comments and im sure people get tired of the "i relate with this!" comments, but... i love Vinny so much and I'm watching every video of his I can, but I feel bad for never having checked out his and Mike's music. its absolutely amazing, i'm slowly starting to feel like I know Vinny as a person, through so much of the songs he's writing, through his streams. he's always honest, he's a pretty guy, hell yeah!!! Handsome as fuck (I'm sure he hears that every single time he posts like a 10 second video of his face) for sure, but beneath all that humor, behind the music, he's not just an idol. he's a person. I don't know if the guy suffers with depression and anxiety but god, he represents this so good in this song. although, I think this wasn't a very pleasant option to choose to listen to this song because with the situation i'm in these days? every single bit of this song strikes me in the heart. not because i can actually FEEL the emotion in this song, this song is literally resonating and crawling deep into my core, and its started to make me cry. because i _get_ this song right now. i _feel_ this, every aspect of this. all of these lyrics are hitting home for me, and brings out the emotions i'm feeling back then, and in my hardest times at this very second. it'd be complicated to write how i feel and why i feel this way, this song pretty much says all the words for me. The chorus catches me in its hands and embraces me with all the meaning it has, Vinny's voice surrounding it in such a bittersweet way. hiding away from all the bad scenarios in the world and dragging yourself into the ground until you feel like you've finally disappeared, feeling like you're to blame for pretty much _any_ problem... hiding your emotions for a long time and breaking down in the dark before coming out with a big grin and some faux jokes to crack with your friends. everything these horrible disorders are that people have as parasites in their brain, dragging them down until they feel like they're a waste? to be buried in the garden and weeds where you'll die, and no one remembers you? its all in this song. _(tl;dr. i do feel this song. i also sometimes worry about my rolemodels a lot, and yes, Vinny is a big inspiration for me. i think Vinny and his music are slowly pulling me through the days. i do have a bit of a feeling he suffers from anxiety or depression, or at least a lot of insecurities._ _if Vinny reads this, i want him to know that even if he may not think he's special at times, there's so many, MANY people in the world, at least over 400,000 people would disagree. he's such a special person, a big inspiration to most, and brings so many laughs to people. he invented such a beautiful corruptor, he's bringing so much good tunes to people, and all-in-all, he's like a friend i never had. I really don't know what I'd do without him. i don't think i'd even be a happy person today.)_

Listened to this album a ton when my friend died a few years ago, didn’t really dwell on the meaning of the songs. I recently revived my old Spotify account recently and have been crying listening to some of these songs. I only ever really enjoyed them before because of who made them, but they have a lot to say.

I've been listening to this over and over since it was released. There's something so nostalgic about the sound, and I love it. The mixing is well done, I'm in love with the vocals, and the drums are just 👌👌👌

Vinny, Mike, and other people in Red Vox are super talented, and you wouldn't really expect it.

This song fills me with such a weird sense of apprehension. I had it on repeat for like four hours when it came out after someone posted a sample of it on Instagram, and while it was on repeat I drew and I couldn't really stop. There's so many different sounds in it and it's like some creepy, chartreuse hued buffet. It honestly gives me the same feeling I had when I was playing Ocarina of Time and I was in the Forest Temple. It's just a really surreal sounding song. I love it. Thank you for this, Vine man and Friends/Bandmates.

I get this songs about anxiety and all that stuff, but I can’t help but to think about how fucking good this song would go along with the survival game grounded~ 80’s like synth, a song about the back yard and being an overgrown jungle, a monster under the tree~ not sure if I’m the only one who thought this but god damn dose grounded need to get the licenses to use this for advertising

Holy shit, I didn't think any songs could be as good as "From the Stars." This is so fucking good, I can barely wait for late spring. The vocals, instrumentation, and the cover art for this song - it's fuckin' good, mate.
