@Don Burg....You're totally wrong. The Philippines is 18 to 12 hours ahead of the USA depending on which state you're in. Hawaii is 18 hours behind the Philippines while the Atlantic state is 12 hours behind. So that when you fly westward from LA (15 hours behind) to the Philippines, you gain 2 hours if your flight takes 13 hours nonstop from LA to the Philippines. The reverse flight will make you lose 2 hours.

@@ojsojs6004 It's because we currently experience La Nina phenomenon, the opposite of El Nino. La Nina (Little Girl) is a weather pattern that occurs when there's an abnormally higher frequency of rainy days (thus higher volume of rainwater/precipitation). It was already projected last year that the world will have another La Nina this year. La Nina means unusually large amount of rainwater or unusually high frequency of rainy days. Thus, floods happen all over the world this year starting with Eastern Australia which inundated major cities like Sydney.

The Basilica del Santo Nino church celebrates the festival “Sinulog” in honor of the patron of the baby Jesus (Sr. Sto. Nino) every 3rd Sunday of January. It is a city wide festival of religious and street dancing events and other fun and colorful activities. I missed my city where I grew up. Too bad the weather wasn’t cooperating. Hi Ash & Kels. In case you received another rainfall advisory. Yellow means it will continue to rain with rainfall between 7.5 mm and 15 mm and flooding may be possible in low-lying areas. Orange means rainfall between 15mm and 30 mm, flooding is a definite threat in communities under orange alert. Red means downpour emergency, rainfall is more than 30mm within one hour or if rainfall has continued for the past three hours and is more than 65mm, serious flooding can be seen

If your still in Cebu, try the Lechon. If your in the city of Cebu, you can try Rico's lechon or Zubu's lechon. Look for a restaurant branches of Gerry's grill or Kamay Kainan or Barrio Fiesta to try Kare-Kare, a vegetable, oxtail or beef in peanut stew; Sisig; Sinigang fish, shrimp or pork in a tamarind base soup; Chicken or Pork Adobo; Lumpiang Sariwa or Fresh Lumpia, it is a vegetable spring rolls.
